Rather than sending it out to fix it to the tune of $300+, my husband decided that I simply needed a better computer. So we headed out to Best Buy and started looking around. It seemed that ALL of the available Windows computers were loaded with Windows 8, which I despise. So naturally, we went over to the Macs and started looking. Now I have always been quite intimidated by Mac computers. For someone who is used to the Windows platforms, it's definitely different and a bit confusing. However, everyone I know who owns a Mac absolutely loves it, and swears they're about a million times better than a PC. So after a brief moment of sticker shock, we purchased a MacBook Pro and a cute pink shell to go with it. I will admit, I am LOVING my Mac, although it has definitely taken some getting used to. I am not going to claim to be an expert user, since I am definitely still learning. So I am always looking for programs that will allow me to use my new Mac to its full potential, while remaining user-friendly. When I received the opportunity to review Picture Collage Maker for Mac from PearlMountain Technology, I was a bit nervous. Excited, but nervous. I was hoping this program would be easier to use than some of the installed programs that came on my Mac. (Yes, I still cannot quite figure out how to use iMovie or iPhoto to their maximum abilities, haha) Here is a brief introduction showing just how simple to use Picture Collage Maker for Mac is. Pretty easy, right? I was able to install the program very quickly to my Mac with no hiccups at all, and it doesn't take up a whole ton of hard drive space. I decided to make a couple of very simple photo collages, just to test the program out. The control panel is very easy to use, and you can choose several different themes and templates. There are plenty of options for different holidays, or you can use simple, blank templates. This program is great for scrapbooking or making photo books, but that's not all you can do! You can also create cute calendars and even greeting cards! Each theme can be fully customized. You can add text, change the background colors or patterns, and you can move the photos around to your liking. The possibilities are endless! Adding photos is very easy, too. You can add photos individually, or use the handy autofill function and the program will insert the photos into the collage for you. Here are a couple of very quick projects I made using Picture Collage Maker for Mac. Now I am no graphic artist, so these were simple and suitable for beginners. I made a cute, spring themed calendar, as well as a fun Valentine's Day greeting. These were quick to create, and can be saved to your hard drive for easy sharing. Overall, I am pretty impressed by Photo Collage Maker for Mac. It's fun and simple to use, and the project possibilities are vast. This is a great program for anyone, young and old alike. (Yes, my teen likes using this program, too!) About Picture Collage Maker for Mac : The full version of Picture Collage Maker for Mac is a TOP 20 Graphics & Design APP on App Store.
