***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples and promotional items to facilitate my review. No other compensation was provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** This is my Yorkie, Trouble. Yes, her name really IS Trouble, and trust me, she can really live up to it at times! We named her this because well, she was a pain in the butt to get. It took a lost debit card, frantic calls to the bank, and a wild goose chase through torrential storms to bring her home. We love her like we love our children, though, so whenever she's naughty, we can't stay mad for very long. Trouble is 2 and a half now, and has some really odd eating preferences. I hate to say it, but she rejects every single small breed dog food I can find. I have tried dozens, and she wants absolutely no part of it. In fact, she would rather eat the cats' food than small breed dog food. If I buy regular dog food, it's fine. It's just the right food for HER that she tends to reject. (See, I told you she lives up to her name!) Luckily, the vet said that as long as she's eating and maintaining a healthy weight, coat, eyes, etc, she should be just fine, small breed specific food or not. Recently, I was presented with a really fun opportunity. One that could potentially make a positive difference in the life of my favorite pup. The Purina ONE 28 Day Challenge was created with the health and well-being of canine companions everywhere. The original challenge took place in Asheville, North Carolina. 300 dog owners switched their dogs' diets to Purina ONE for a 28 day period, and the results were pretty amazing. Pet owners saw shiner coats, brighter eyes, increased energy and healthier teeth and gums. All in just 28 short days! This is because Purina ONE dog foods offer complete and balanced nutrition dogs need to thrive. We received a fun welcome kit that contained a coupon for ANY Purina ONE dog food up to $35 value, a fun KONG treat dispenser toy perfect for active, hungry pups, and even an adorable Purina ONE branded photo frame! Over the past week or so, I have weaned Trouble off of the food she's been eating and gradually replaced it with Purina ONE SmartBlend Chicken & Rice Formula. Of course I tried giving her the Purina ONE Small Bites, but in true Trouble style, she turned her nose up at it. (What is wrong with this dog?!) So far, I haven't seen much of a visible difference in my pooch. After all, we are just getting started here. She's going to be groomed this week, so I am curious to see if her physical appearance changes after we've been at it for a few more weeks when she's not so shaggy looking. Of course I will be checking in mid-way as well as at the conclusion of our little experiment and will let you know what changes we've experienced. Join The Purina ONE 28 Day Challenge: In the meantime, you can check out the Purina ONE 28 Day Challenge for yourself by heading to the official challenge website. You can connect with Purina ONE on Facebook and on twitter to stay on top of their latest products and promotions! You can also check out other peoples' results by tracking the hashtag #ONEdifference on twitter! Enter to WIN : I am thrilled to announce that one lucky reader will receive a Purina ONE Dog Prize Package including a FREE product coupon, dog toy, and photo frame!

I probably do more to keep my pets happy & healthy than I do for myself! Lol. We make sure they have a comfy place to sleep beside the bed and in the living room, and we buy expensive natural food for the dogs, even though we can't afford it. :)

As has been noted, I bring my dog to scheduled appointments; he's treated like part of the family. We love to keep him up to date with that of what we can afford in the way of some new flavors. My first biggest responsibility was getting the opportunity to own this true friend that will always be part of my life. Thus, I try to make sure he's always comfortable with the toys we can afford. He always gives a reason to exercise - he always loves to out for walks daily!
