![]() As the mother of 2 active toddlers, I am always looking for fun ways to make meal time more fun, without skimping on nutrition. There are so many choices out there when it comes to kids' foods, and choosing the best ones can be a bit overwhelming. I will say, I do buy a lot of organic foods whenever possible, but we also purchase some "normal" foods as well, paying close attention to the nutritional content. I want to make sure that my kids are getting proper nutrition for their developmental stages, so I always look for foods that are full of vitamins, whole grains, and aren't loaded with excess sugars. Recently, I learned about something new from Post, geared specifically towards toddlers like mine. Post Sesame Street Cereal comes in two flavors, A is for Apple and B is for Banana. This new cereal is specially formulated to meet a growing toddler’s needs, providing them with 2/3 of their daily whole grains serving with only 1 gram of sugar. Children will be familiar with their furry friends, Elmo and Cookie Monster, who are featured on the front of the box, and parents will feel good letting them eat it. Additionally, the fun X and O shapes are specifically designed for little fingers and the yummy cereal has a soft texture that melts away for safe and easy consumption. Sophie and Xander really like Post Sesame Street Cereals, and often ask for some just to have as a snack! The pieces are very easy for tiny fingers to handle, and the flavors are very good without being overwhelmingly sweet. Of course for breakfast, I like adding some vanilla soy milk and a sliced banana or berries to help balance their meal better. Each box features 2 different educational activities per flavor for you and your little one to enjoy. You can have fun collecting them all!
So next time you're at your local grocery store, be sure to keep your eyes out for Post Sesame Street Cereals. Not only are they loaded with nutrition that growing toddlers need, they're a lot of fun, too! I know my kids love seeing Elmo and Cookie Monster on the boxes, and this makes breakfast a lot more fun for them! ***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples to facilitate my review.
