![]() When I was a little girl, one of my favorite things to play with were my dolls. I had Barbies, Cabbage Patch Kids, and even Jem dolls. (Am I giving away my age here?) I remember I also had a Polly Pocket. I loved my pint sized pal, and I always loved the amount of accessories available for her. The only problem? I always, without fail, lost the little pieces, and Polly Pocket lost her appeal without the add-ons. I was really excited to learn that there's a whole new Polly Pocket experience available for my daughter's generation. Polly has never been so fresh and fun, and there are tons of sets available. The best part? These new dolls and playsets have an ingenious addition that will help prevent losing all of Polly's parts. They have Stick 'n' Play, which allows Polly and all of her friends and accessories to be "suction-cupped" to the playset. These suction cups are very small and don't interfere with the look or feel of the playset at all. I especially love how Polly's shoes contain the Stick 'n' Play component. How clever! Recently, we received the Polly Pocket Hangout House Playset as well as the Kitchen Stick 'n' Play room set. I immediately noticed the bright, colorful packaging and the overall appearance of the sets. They are very vibrant and fun, which will definitely help keep kids engaged. No one wants a dull, bland and boring playset! Here's the Kitchen Room Set. I love the cake, which sits prettily on a platter. The oven is a nice touch, too! After we unpacked and assembled our Polly Pocket Playset, we started playing with the individual components. I was quite impressed by the attention given to small details. The fridge opens and shuts, the toilet lid opens as well, and the swing was absolutely adorable. This would be any girl's dream home! Sophie loves the Hangout House, too. She is pretty fascinated by the Stick 'n' Play suction cups, and has a blast just sticking the dolls and furnishings to different parts of the playset. She also loves the kitty cat and puppy that came with the two sets. She just told me that Polly Pocket is getting ice cream out of the fridge. How cute is that?! Oh, and the little brunette doll is cooking a cake. Sophie loves imaginative play with her Polly Pocket playsets! Overall, I love the new Polly Pocket sets. The pieces seem to be a bit larger than I remember, which makes them harder to lose. The Stick 'n' Play feature also helps keep all of the pieces together. These are great for overnight trips to Grandmas, since Polly and her friends are incredibly portable. Another thing I love is how kids stay engaged when playing with Polly Pocket. My daughter loves playing pretend and even acts out stories with the dolls, pets, and accessories. Polly Pocket definitely helps build big imaginations! I definitely plan to purchase more Polly Pocket toys for my Sophie. She is having a blast, and I love seeing her get so excited. Plus, it's pretty neat that she's playing with something I used to cherish as a child!
