***Disclosure: This review and giveaway was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Febreze. I was compensated for my participation in this campaign, but all opinions are 100% mine.*** Did you know that you can actually become "nose blind" to the odors in your home? Think about it for a moment...You are surrounded by certain scents all the time. Maybe you have pets, smelly teenagers, or God forbid, have a child in diapers. (We have all 3 of these things!) These things can produce some pretty funkified scents, but chances are, you're so used to it that you don't even notice. However, guests DO. You see, your "normal" smells may be completely different than the ones they have in their homes. Recently, we had the opportunity to conduct a #NoseBlind experiment, with the help of the folks at Febreze. We received a nice package of Febreze products and some simple instructions: Invite a few friends over for a movie night, take some anonymous surveys, and then use Febreze products and take a final survey to see what changes there were in the predominant odors. Before we began the movie, our guests took 2 surveys. These surveys determined what scents were the most apparent when they walked into my home. Now this thought was horrifying to me, since with diapers, 4 cats and 3 dogs, I know darn well that the scent can get kind of gross at times. It turns out, the predominant smells were the buttery popcorn I had popped, along with a hint of cat. (Ugh. Figures!) During the movie, I lit our Febreze Candle and sprayed our furniture with some Febreze Fabric Refresher, and spritzed the air with Febreze Air Effects. I also plugged the Febreze NOTICEable wall unit in in our bathroom, which just happens to be very close to the litter boxes. I fully admit, this particular bathroom can get incredibly smelly, since there isn't very good ventilation there. At times, even after cleaning the cat boxes, I still find myself gagging when I walk in. I guess that comes with the territory of being a multi-cat home. Thankfully, the Febreze products seemed to really do the trick in eliminating unpleasant odors from our home. When guests took the final survey, they no longer smelled the popcorn and cat smells. Instead, they reported a nice, fresh, lightly floral scent. (Thanks to the Febreze Meadow Rain products.) In our bathroom, the biggest problem area, the air was sweetly scented, due to the Febreze NOTICEables in Hawaiian Aloha. Why did this work so well? Febreze products do more than just mask unpleasant odors. They actually eliminate them! How does this work? It's simple! Febreze has a unique molecule called Cyclodextrin which traps and neutralizes bad odors. So rather than smelling a cover-up, you're actually smelling lasting freshness. Pretty cool, right? Overall, we were very pleased with the outcome of our NoseBlind experiment. I have to admit, as the mother of a smelly teen boy, several pets, and a 3 year old who is stubborn and won't use the potty, I am often embarrassed by the smells in our home. This has actually caused me to refrain from having company. Now, I can entertain with confidence since Febreze takes care of these odors effectively and quickly. You can also learn more about the Febreze Noseblind Test here. Connect with Febreze on Facebook & Twitter to stay on top of their latest freshness tips, products and promotions! Enter to Win A Febreze Prize Package: I am thrilled to announce that one lucky reader will receive the same Noseblind package I received. This package includes:
