It's the day after Thanksgiving....If you've come out of the notorious "food coma" that comes after a huge feast with family and friends, chances are, your mind has turned to shopping. With all the great Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals to be had, this is THE time to score the best Holiday gifts at some amazing prices.

Once you have your gifts, of course you'll want to wrap them up and hide them...Or not...Depending on how many curious, sneaky kids you have running around. We have to strategically hide our gifts throughout the house in places that the littles will never suspect.

I might be a bit odd, but I think part of making a gift super special is wrapping it in beautiful gift wrap. Sure, there are tons of cutesie wrapping papers available at big box retailers. Those are fine, but certainly don't scream "special".

That's why I was thrilled to learn that one of my favorite global retailers, Novica, is now offering some stunning, handcrafted gift wraps made by skilled artisans around the world. Novica, in association with National Geographic,  simply acts as a middle-man of sorts, allowing their customers to enjoy beautiful, unique pieces made by true artists. Each piece is unique, lovingly made, and offers a ton of multi-cultural flavor.

Check out these gorgeous gift wrap collections. Prepare to drool! I love this Banana Mango Saa Wrapping Paper. It's made in Thailand by an artist named Tumthong.. She crafts the sheets of paper from natural saa (mulberry) pulp, and mixes bark from the banana tree to obtain a slight yellow hue. When she adds straw, she obtains a different batch with brown undertones, and when she uses mango leaves, the handmade paper is green. The set of six includes two 45 gram sheets of each color.

Here are a few more designs from this very talented Thai artist. I just love the rich colors in this Bo Leaves wrapping paper set. Wouldn't this make for a fabulous gift presentation?

For a delicate, almost ethereal look, the Bougainvillea Garden set is a natural choice. Isn't it stunning?!

So when you're checking out all of the amazing gift ideas at Novica, be sure to stock up on some of these unique, handmade gift wraps as well. They will make your gift stand out, and the recipient will feel extra special. And remember, by choosing Novica for your Holiday gift giving needs, you're helping to support artists and communities around the globe. It's a win-win situation!

Once home to the ancient Inca civilization, The Andes region now gives us talented Peruvian artisans, many of whom are of inca decent. They hold dear the artistic techniques of their ancestors and so practice and preserve them for future generations to enjoy.

I LOVE Novica. In fact, right now there are over 600 items on my Novica Wish List! I shop there as much as my wallet will allow - for myself and because it is THE BEST place in the world to shop for gifts...

....Except until just now - and despite all of it's wonders - I'd never thought of Novica as a place to shop for CHILDREN (kids.) But come to think of it there are two fabulous "sculpturers' who work with recyled metal (car, truck & mechanical parts) and my make amazing, fabulous and fun "statuettes" that kids (and grown ups) would love!

One is Miguel Mejia (the Andes) - I love his "Skater Boy" sculpture.

The other (my special favorite) is the amazing (and prolific) Armando Ramirez who has created utterly delightful (and quite affordable) statuettes celebrating everyday people doing all kinds of things (even DENTISTS, Accountants, Auto Mechanic!) - but kids would love his fabulous firefighters, soccer, baseball and basketball players, musicians - even Beach Volleyball Player. He makes very sweet and endearings (and very relatable!) romantic / sweethearts "scenes.."

You really must check them out! Thanks for the giveaway!
