***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples to facilitate my review. No other compensation was provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** ![]() I have a zoo. No, really....I kind of do. We have cats and dogs, and sometimes, I feel as though we've got a herd of elephants running through based on the messes that they all tend to make. Feeding time is the worst. We usually end up with food scattered about and puddles of water just waiting to make someone slip and fall. Sadly, I don't think I can effectively sue the dogs for causing human bodily harm when they eat. So to avoid the messes and the headaches associated with them, I started searching for a cleaner way to feed my army of fur-babies. I had seen the Neater Feeder on TV, and was thrilled when they generously agreed to send me their state of the art feeding system to check out for myself. About Neater Feeder : The Neater Feeder is very unique, because it allows even excited pets to eat without making a mess of their surroundings. This system is designed with protective walls that contain splashes and spills. If food or water does make its way out of the bowl, it is then caught within the Neater Feeder and kept off of the floor surrounding the dish. Food is collected in the top of the Neater Feeder, while water is filtered and kept in a lower reservoir. Check out this diagram to see how the Neater Feeder works: Our Review of the Neater Feeder : We received a Neater Feeder to try for ourselves. We decided to use it for the cats, but this would work well for small, toy breed dogs as well. There are leg extensions so height can be adjusted by a couple of inches, which is nice because it will grow with your pet. My kittens, Truffles and Havarti, can use this now at 14 weeks old, but they will also be able to use it when they're full grown cats. Here are Truffles and Havarti eating out of the Neater Feeder. (And yes, I know I have the most hideous kitchen floor in the history of the world. Replacing it is on our home renovation list!) By adding the leg extensions. I can quickly convert the Neater Feeder for my adult cats and small dogs. Here is Pringles, our rescue kitty, enjoying her meal using the Neater Feeder. Overall, I am really loving the Neater Feeder. This has been a life-saver, since it truly does keep all spills contained and off of my floor. I love the fact that food and water are filtered. This means that the excess food doesn't become a soggy mess and can be reused later! This product is also extremely easy to clean. It can be hand-washed or run through the dishwasher. It has very smooth surfaces, so stray bits of food don't get caked up on the plastic. I would definitely recommend the Neater Feeder to any homes that have pets. This really makes life a lot easier since it eliminates the messes that come with feeding. This product is available in 3 different sizes for dogs, as well as one for cats. They also come in a few different color options that are sure to compliment any decor. Connect With Neater Feeder : You can check out the awesomeness that is the Neater Feeder on their website. You can also connect with them on Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. Enter to WIN : I am thrilled to announce that one lucky reader will receive their choice of Neater Feeder!

I have several cats as well as caring for a feral cat community so I am busy and any help keeping the feeding areas clean is greatly appreciated by me and my feline companions. My oldest is 15 and a messy eater now and my youngest is 1 year and still is in too much of hurry to have more fun to worry about being a neat eater!
