My Magical Adventure: The First Personalized Storybook Customizable For Children of ALL ABilities

I normally don't post about Kickstarter projects. It's not the lack of desire, it's just the fact that I often have SO much work piled up that I don't have the time. Recently, however, I learned about Crayon Crunch and their unique and heartwarming mission, and I got excited. Truly, incredibly excited. 

Tim Osterbuhr, Kai Schmittat and Friederike Geiken founded crayon Crunch
in February 2015. (Yes, this is a brand new business!) Their product could help kids everywhere not only learn to love reading, but also build their self-esteem, regardless of their abilities. 

This talented trio created a wonderful storybook called "My Magical Adventure" This is a printed, personalized book where the main character can be customized to look like any child, including all ethnicities and disabilities.

• Special needs like a wheelchair, glasses, prosthetics, cane and more. Custom illustration will be created at no charge if your special needs illustration has not been created yet. 

"My Magical Adventure" is a gender neutral tale that takes place in a beautiful, magical imaginary world. It is perfect for kids of ALL abilities. Now that is something I feel very good about. Every child deserves to be recognized for the unique and wonderful person they are, regardless of their level of ability or their special challenges. 

This concept really struck a chord with me. It touched my heart. You see, a dear friend of mine was born with a series of complex congenital heart defects. When we were kids, she always felt like the odd man out. She was teased and bullied, and was always made to feel "different". Just imagine how much comfort and joy a book like this could have brought her when she was feeling low? 

Today, my friend is working on making her dreams come true. She is in the process of getting a new heart! There are a lot of kids out there that are just like her. They could definitely benefit from their very own personalized adventure as they face their daily challenges. 

Maybe you don't know a child with a heart problem....That's okay! This book is great for kids in wheelchairs, with glasses, hearing aids, prosthetics, anything your child is living with can be created by this talented and compassionate team.

I believe that this project is definitely very worthy, and it deserves to succeed. Yes, there are about a million different children's books available, but this is truly unique. This book is not only completely customizable in ways never offered before, it also sends a strong message of love, acceptance, and inclusion for all.
