Okay, so while I certainly don't advocate alcoholism, I know what it's like to have one of those days and want to unwind with a nice, fruity adult beverage. I have a teenager and 2 toddlers, and they definitely keep me on my toes and occasionally try my patience. Since I have a house full of kiddos, my husband and I don't really get to go out too terribly often. And I am certainly not a bartender. As a matter of fact, I couldn't tell you what goes into any mixed drink, let alone attempt to make them myself. So when I received a review copy of The Big Book Of Martinis for Moms by Rose Maura Lorre and Mavis Lamb, I was definitely curious. This book offers more than 150 drink recipes, and they're specifically made to celebrate different milestones and occasions that only a Mom could understand. The book is even separated into easy to reference sections such as Bathroom Feats, Bedtime Feats, Kids Will Be Kids Feats, and many more. The best part? You don't have to be a master bartender to make these drinks. All you need is a shaker, some ice, the ingredients, and of course, a sense of humor. (This book is sure to make you chuckle!) Here are just a few drink examples from this must-have book for Moms: Aren't these fun?! I love all of the creative feats listed, and I love the fact that the authors are all about Moms celebrating every day events that often get overlooked. I will tell you, the first time Sophie pooped in her "Big Girl Potty", I definitely should have celebrated with the Pooh'tini! While there are tons of kid-related reasons to celebrate or de-stress, there are plenty of recipes with the sole purpose of Mom getting some much needed ME time as well. Overall, I am really enjoying this book. The recipes are delicious, the pictures beautiful and eye-catching, and the writing is very colorful and amusing. This is a great read, and sure to make Mom smile. I think this would make the perfect gift for Mother's Day! Not only is it a very unique book, it's a gift that keeps on giving. Mom will find about a million ways to celebrate and if you're lucky, she may even mix up a martini for you, too! After all, Mom always taught us it's nice to share! How to Connect : You can purchase The Big Book Of Martinis for Moms HERE. I could've used one the night my kids were little and wouldn't go to bed. I was frazzled. Next thing I know my daughter had dressed my son up in her clothes and came down stairs saying she had to bring her friend home. She had to be all of 4 years old, he was 2.Well, they looked adorable. I secretly chuckled! Kids!

I wake up at 7am, take care of 2 babies under the age of 2, cook, clean, teach, entertain, bathe the babes until 4:30pm when my fiance gets home. Then I go to work 5pm-130am. I get about 4 hours of sleep when I get home, then repeat everything again. I'd say I deserve a mom-tini everyday, just need to find the time!
