Moringa Source Body Oil Review And GIVEAWAY! 7/6

In recent years, the beauty and cosmetic industry have been taking a lot of heat. Why? Well, to put it bluntly: Pthalates, Parabens, Sulfates, and other potentially harmful ingredients that are commonly found in these products.

Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of the ingredients in the products they use, and it seems more and more people are starting to gravitate towards natural products. I am one of these people! I would rather use a product that has ingredients I can understand rather than a laundry list of unpronounceable words that are a general sign of synthetic ones.

I am always on the lookout for new and exciting natural beauty and skincare products. I have done a lot of research and have tried a lot of amazing products. So when I was approached by the folks at Moringa Source asking me to review their Moringa Oil, I couldn't believe that I hadn't heard of these products before! So I headed on over to the Moringa Source website, and here is what I learned:

"Moringa oil comes from the seeds of the Moringa oleifera tree, a fast growing leafy tree species native to the Himalayas. The seeds, harvested from their pods, yield approximately 35–40% of non-drying Moringa oil, also known as Ben oil or Behen oil.

Moringa seed oil is clear and odorless. Thanks to the numerous antioxidants in it, the oil does not become rancid for several years after it is produced. This makes it sought after for a number of health and beauty applications.

Although the oil is viable for use as a cooking oil, its high demand and low levels of production do not make it conducive for every day use as a dietary product. However, small amounts of oil are often used in recipes calling for a rich, nutty flavor, such as stir-fried dishes and marinades. Moringa oil is also occasionally used as a dressing for vegetables, salads, and other green dishes.

Moringa oil is among the most desired oils in the formulation of skin care products and cosmetics, chosen for its many antioxidants and documented skin-rejuvenating properties. These antioxidants do wonders for aging and nutrient-depleted skin.

With an impressive oleic acid content of 72%, Moringa oil penetrates deeply into the skin, delivering vital nutrients and also helping the skin and hair retain moisture. Moringa oil’s benefits include skin care and rejuvenation, stronger and healthier hair, wrinkle reduction and skin blemish removal. Moringa oil suppliers often have a tough time keeping up with the demand for this rare and luxurious oil.

Moringa oil is a non-drying nutty flavored oil with a clear or slightly pale yellow consistency. The healing properties have been documented for centuries, dating back to ancient cultures. It has been used in skin preparations and ointments since Egyptian times."
Sounds pretty amazing, doesn't it? I was quite impressed by the multitude of different uses for Moringa Oil. While it can be used sparingly in cooking, it makes a great multi-purpose beauty treatment as well! From soothing a nasty sunburn to reducing wrinkles to even tackling scalp irritation and dandruff, this oil is an effective and natural remedy.

When my Moringa Oil arrived, I started trying it out in different ways immediately. Here's what I experienced:

Stop Cradle Cap In It's Tracks!
Xander, my 1 and a half year old, still has a small amount of lingering cradle cap. I decided to try the Moringa Oil on his scalp, and I have to say, it has really helped to reduce the flaky patches! The oil absorbed rather quickly onto his scalp, and I was able to simply comb away the little flakes. The Moringa Oil is far less greasy than traditional baby oil and left his hair very soft.

Great For Massage!
After a long day chasing my toddlers, I enjoy a nice backrub...Or a full-body massage, depending on how worn out my husband is! I have found that a lot of massage oils are sticky, greasy, or end up drying out rather quickly. Not very pleasant, to say the least! The Moringa Body Oil was a nice surprise, since it didn't have any of these common downfalls. This oil spreads wonderfully and leaves the skin very moisturized without feeling goopy or leaving an odd residue. It also has a very light scent that is not at all unpleasant. It kind of reminds me of sesame oil, but not as strongly scented. I LOVE this product for massage! It's luxurious, relaxing, and a little bit goes a very long way!

Ouch! Soothe That Burn!
I love to cook. I am always in the kitchen whipping up some recipe I found online or saw on TV. With cooking, unfortunately, comes the occasional mishap. A few days ago, I was pulling some Chicken Tetrazzini out of the oven and I ended up burning my wrist on the interior wall of the oven. My Yorkie, who is aptly named Trouble, ran underfoot and almost tripped me! I decided to try some of the Moringa Oil on my scorched skin, and I have to say, it was quite soothing. While it didn't take the pain away, it did help prevent blistering and peeling.

Overall, I am loving Moringa Source and their wonderful Moringa Oil products! It seems that I keep finding new and interesting ways to use this product. From now on, I plan to keep this natural wonder on hand for whatever life happens to throw my way. Whether it be pampering, beauty treatments, or even minor first aid to soothe irritated skin, this versatile oil is definitely a must-have in my opinion! I actually plan on trying many more of the great Moringa products, such as supplements, protein shakes, and even bath products!
