Mohawk Valley Trading Company Pure Maple Syrup GIVEAWAY! 2/25

***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples to facilitate my review. No other compensation was provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.***
You probably know that I have a giveaway up right now for some amazing raw honey. Many of you have commented on that post saying you'd love to try Mohawk Valley Trading Co. Pure Maple Syrup. (Can't say I blame you there! There is nothing like drizzling the real deal over pancakes or waffles!)
Picture
Well, I have some great news for those of you who were interested in learning more about Mohawk Valley Trading Co. Pure Maple Syrup. I received some of this to review, too!
Now I don't know about you, but in our home, we love pancakes and waffles. Okay, that's a partial lie...I don't personally eat breakfast foods very often because I am a picky eater. But everyone else in my house can devour some pancakes like it's no one's business!

Of course usually, our syrup is bought at the grocery store. I try and find pure maple syrup, but that doesn't always happen. Much of the time, I am left purchasing products that have additives and/or artificial flavorings. (I am not too thrilled about doing it, either!)

In my opinion, these syrups just can't be called real maple syrup because well, they're not! Artificial maple flavoring and preservatives do not make an honest-to-God maple syrup. I'm a purist. When I think of maple syrup, I think of liquid gold straight from a tree in some gorgeous forest in the Northeast somewhere. But that's just me.

Mohwak Valley Trading Co. offers Pure Maple Syrup that is not only amazingly delicious, but also free of any additives. Mohawk Valley Trading Company maple syrup is made primarily from sugar maple sap, which is preferred for maple syrup production because it has an average sugar content of two percent. Sap from other maple species is usually lower in sugar content, and about twice as much is needed to produce the same amount of finished syrup.
Picture
We have used this syrup in a variety of ways. The kids love it on French Toast, waffles, and on pancakes. They have even dunked chicken nuggets into it! (Probably because I let them drizzle some raw honey on nuggets last week!)
Picture
I used it to make a pork tenderloin, and wow, it was delicious! I mixed some of the syrup with Dijon Mustard, soy sauce, freshly ground salt and pepper, and some fresh herbs. It was absolutely spectacular, and I noticed a huge difference in flavor using real maple syrup. I had tried this before using store-bought syrup, and the difference in flavor is very noticeable. There is a depth of flavor that just isn't present when using artificial maple syrups!

Overall, I absolutely love the Pure Maple Syrup from Mohawk Valley Trading Co. It is so unbelievably flavorful, and really creates a flavor explosion in your mouth. Add to that the fact that there are no additives used, and you've got the perfect breakfast companion, without the guilt! If you're like me and love natural and organic foods, definitely check this company out! You won't be disappointed!

I did not know that the FDA only monitors colors that go into skin care products. Skin care products and cosmetics do not need to be approved or reviewed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) before being sold to consumers. Who is monitoring what goes on our skin & eventually into our bloodstream?

I knew that honey was good for us, but I didn't know that it has anti-oxidant and anti-microbial properties. I've learned that we are what we eat, or in the case of cosmetics, what we wear. Is it any wonder that so many of us are tired & sluggish; we are ingesting things that God never intended for our bodies to absorb.
