***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples to facilitate my review. No other compensation was provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** ![]() During the summer, there is nothing I love more than relaxing in my yard with some good music and a nice, tall glass of iced tea. There is something so refreshing about iced tea, and it compliments a lazy summer day perfectly in my opinion. I am a huge fan of fruity iced teas like peach, citrus, or raspberry. I also love green teas and a nice sweet tea with lemon. (Yum!) Even my kids love to drink iced tea, and are constantly stealing sips from my glass when they play outside on our wooden playground. Lucky for them, I don't mind sharing one bit! Recently, I received an iced tea brewing kit from the awesome folks at Mighty Leaf Tea. This kit contained a box of each of Mighty Leaf Tea's four iced teas, a Takeya flash brew iced tea pitcher, and a Takeya glass water bottle. Pretty cool, right? I have been a big fan of this brand for quite some time, since their teas are premium quality and come in a mouth-watering variety of flavors. They even carry several organic options, which I also appreciate. While Mighty Leaf Tea has amazing iced tea blends, there are also some pretty fantastic loose teas and tea pouches. (I simply have to try one of the many chocolate truffle tea varieties!) Here is more about Mighty Leaf Tea, for those of you who may not be familiar with the brand. About Mighty Leaf Tea : Mighty Leaf Tea was born for the sole purpose of infusing life into an ancient indulgence by creating tea products that reach new heights of quality and innovation. The genesis of Mighty Leaf Tea came in 1996 as a result of a shared passion and dream envisioned by husband-and-wife team Gary Shinner and Jill Portman when they founded their teahouse on Fillmore St. in San Francisco. Their passion is for creating the most incredible handcrafted tea blends found anywhere, globally sourcing the finest ingredients available. Paralleling the highest standards of quality at Mighty Leaf Tea is ongoing creative innovation. Our specially created handcrafted Tea Pouches are designed to unleash the essence of the quality that is Mighty Leaf Tea. Supporting our quality and innovation is our promise to deliver the highest level of customer service excellence in serving you the finest tea products available. I absolutely love my Mighty Leaf Iced Tea Brewing Kit. This tea is delicious, and higher quality than those iced tea mixes you might find at the grocery store. It has a true gourmet flavor, and brews crisp, cold iced tea in less than 5 minutes. Mighty Leaf Teas are free of calories, sugar and artificial flavors, and they're also all natural. I think this is why there's such a difference in flavor. My favorite tea would have to be the Ginger Peach, although the Sunburst Green Tea is a very close second. These teas have very sophisticated flavor profiles, and are definitely a treat. Iced teas are also very versatile, since you can easily change things up and add your own ingredients, too! Sure, you can always pick up ready-made iced tea, but brewing your own is easy, and a more environmentally friendly option. Can you imagine how many bottles end up in landfills each year? Brewing your own tea and using reusable glass bottles makes a lot more sense. Also, brewing your own iced tea saves loads of money in the long run. I'd definitely recommend giving DIY brewing a try! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the results! How to Connect : You can check out the awesomeness that is Mighty Leaf Tea on their website. You can also connect with them on Facebook and on twitter to stay on top of their latest products and promotions! Enter to Win : I am thrilled to announce that one lucky reader will be receiving a Mighty Leaf Tea Iced Tea Brewing Kit of their own! How cool is that?!

Light, temperature, moisture and odors can compromise the quality of tea. To maintain freshness tea must be stored properly. Use an airtight, opaque container and store tea in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. As excessive heat and strong odors can compromise the tea’s flavor, keep away from stoves or other strong smelling foods. If you treat them like spices its easy to remember these guidelines
