See this innocent little face? That's Xander, my 2 year old. Sure, he's adorable, but he hides a deep, dark secret...Somehow, he has the ability to turn a clean room into a disaster zone in 2.4 seconds. If he has help from our 3 year old, Sophie, or our 13 year old, Kyle, the messes happen much more quickly and in larger proportions. I also have 3 puppies who like to scatter toys all over the place and a husband who seems to think his sweaty, dirty socks somehow belong underneath the coffee table each day when he gets home from work.
So obviously, since I live surrounded by complete and utter chaos, cleaning is an all day process. The toddlers and puppies cannot clean up after themselves, and the husband and teen rarely do, so I end up cleaning multiple times every day. Usually, this gets undone almost as soon as I accomplish anything. Ahh, the life of a Mom! They say dull people have clean houses, so I will stick with that outlook for now, and be comforted by the fact that my family must be really darn interesting.
Of course no one wants a messy home...It just kind of happens, especially when you have 5 zillion things to do and only 24 hours to do them in. Now mind you, my home has clutter and isn't very organized, but there is no real filth because Mama doesn't roll that way. Still, I have daydreams about having a team of maids helping me get tidy and organized once and for all.
But wait...I just learned about a great sweeps from the folks at Dirty Jobs that can give me just that! How do I win? By showing off my messiest messes! Here's more info:
