If they're anything like my children, it might be a good idea to supplement with a multi-vitamin, just to be on the safe side. Many kids tend to shun nutrient-rich foods like spinach and other veggies, making it hard to get adequate nutrients throughout the day. My kids, like many others, tend to be picky eaters, and they go through odd "food phases". For example, when my oldest son was a preschooler, he wouldn't eat anything...And I do mean ANYTHING...other than oatmeal and yogurt. This lasted for months. Of course, I discussed this with our pediatrician, and was told that this is perfectly normal early childhood behavior, and to just make sure to add a daily multi-vitamin to the mix. Sounded like a fairly easy plan at the time. Slip my kid a vitamin with his yogurt and oatmeal, and we're good to go, right? Well, not exactly. You see, Kyle didn't like your ordinary chewable vitamins. Can you blame him? They tend to have a weird aftertaste and a gritty texture that can definitely be off-putting to kids. Kyle is 13 now, but I also have 2 more kids now. Sophie is 3.5, and Xander is 2.5. Much like their older brother, they are picky eaters at times and don't care for traditional vitamins. Luckily, I was recently sent some L'il Critters Gummy Vites Complete to try out on them. These vitamins are super kid-friendly, since they offer a gummy consistency and a fun bear shape! Please note: These are NOT candy. No more should be taken than the daily recommended dosage to avoid potential illness. (Yes, there is such a thing as getting too many vitamins!) Gummy Vites come in natural berry, cherry, and citrus flavors. My kids really love these, since they taste great and require no water to wash them down. Of course there is no grittiness or harsh aftertaste, either! The only problem I have come across? Limiting the kids to the proper dose. They actually beg for more of these fun gummy supplements! How to Connect : L’il Critters gummy vitamins are available at drug and grocery stores nationwide including: Costco, Walmart, Target and CVS.
