Oooh, I am SO excited about this giveaway. I received a TON of goodies from Tina to sample with my family. When the box arrived, my husband and son were perched, waiting like vultures, just ready to devour its contents! I was shocked to find not only cupcakes, but edible image cookies, adorable and chic cupcake toppers, chocolate covered marshmallow pops, chocolate dipped Oreos, yummy meringue cookies, and FABULOUS whoopie pies! I really got a sense for the love that Tina puts into her edible "art" (cause let's face it: baking IS an art, especially when things turn out so beautiful to the eye!) I also was amazed by the close attention to even the tiniest of details. Take a look at what I received from the NY Cupcake Co. These photos do not do these heavenly desserts any justice.

Okay. I iced these with buttercream frosting and a piping bag that was sent to me by NY Cupcake Co. I won't quit my day job, since apparently, I do not have the technical ability Tina does when it comes to decorating desserts!

I LOVE these Cherry Blossom cupcakes! The photos do not do them justice! There was actually an edible glitter on them, and the branches are highly detailed and made of fondant.

As you can see, there is a TON of variety coming out of the NY Cupcake Co. kitchen! And let me assure you, it is all delicious! We loved it all! My husband especially loved the Chocolate Covered OREOs, the Chocolate Marshmallow Pops, the Chocolate Cupcakes that I could not ice for the life of me, and the Whoopie Pies. (If you're noticing a theme here, it's because my hubby is a self-proclaimed choco-junkie!) My son loved it all. I really liked the buttercream icing that Tina sent for me to ice the chocolate cupcakes with. It was sweet, somewhat fluffy, and creamy all at the same time. The vanilla flavor was deep and rich, and I could tell that she uses a superior quality vanilla for her goodies. Yes, you can really tell. Quality of ingredients definitely makes a difference when it comes to the overall taste of things. I also loved the cookies! I could not bring myself to actually eat the images of my babies, so I performed minor "surgery" with a butter knife to get just the cookies! No, I don't have a weird hang-up about eating someone's face...I just thought these were too full of awesomeness to eat, so I am keeping them! Okay maybe that IS a little weird, but whatever. The cookies themselves were WONDERFUL...I am not sure if they are a shortbread or a sugar cookie, but they are sweet, have an amazing texture, and they are just packed full of a light, vanilla flavor that I just adored. Overall, we LOVE the NY Cupcake Co. and would recommend their sweet creations for any special occasion you might have...even if that occasion is just a rainy Sunday spent indoors with family, surrounded by babies and covered in baby goo. Yep. They're really THAT good. Give them a try!
