![]() My babies LOVE bath time. Especially my toddler! She will come running as soon as she hears the bath water being drawn, and would play for hours in the tub if I'd let her. She loves splashing around and giggling as she plays with her sea-life themed bath toys. My 7 month old, Xander, likes the bath as well. He loves kicking his feet in the water in his infant tub and always cracks up when I rinse his hair. Now my oldest child was an entirely different story altogether. He hated taking baths, and would scream bloody murder as soon as his hair got wet. It was a challenge to see just how quickly I could get him adequately clean and out of the tub! Ahh, the memories! So needless to say, I consider myself lucky that my younger babies love taking baths. This is our special time together, and nothing warms this mama's heart like hearing their laughter and seeing them smile. I love the feel and smell of a freshly washed baby, too! One part of bath time has the potential to be much less pleasant, though. That's getting out of the tub. Babies are very delicate and can catch a chill quite easily. So keeping babies warm and comfortable after their bath is essential if you want to keep the smile on their cute little faces! That's why I jumped at the chance to review the maamam aacua. What is the maamam aacua? maamam aacua is a 4-in-1 bath towel that triples as an apron, babywrap, and toddler bath wrap. The maamam aacua transforms bath time into a relaxing, safe, and fun experience by freeing up both of your hands—allowing you to give your baby your complete attention. Made of soft, absorbent, 100% cotton, aacua grows with your child and can be used from birth through toddlerhood. maamam aims to improve our lives as parents by creating unique products that are modern, functional, and most importantly safe for our children. Founded and operated by mothers, maamam is a private company that strives to achieve social, ethical, and environmental sustainability. MY OPINION: I found the maamam aacua useful in assisting with bath time. The aacua is a soft, super-absorbent cotton, and offers moms the option to bathe and transport a wet baby from the tub without getting wet themselves or having to fiddle with a conventional towel. I love the versatility that allows this product to be used for smaller infants as well as toddlers. There are very few products I can use on both of my babies, and this is definitely one of them! I admit, I am not the most savvy with following diagrams. I am much more of a hands on learner. So I did have to look at the instructions a few times before I was able to properly use this product in all its functions. Once I had it figured out, it was very simple to use and adjust accordingly. For Xander, my youngest, I can wear this product as an apron, and when it's time to remove him from the tub, all I need to do is lift him out of the tub and place the hood portion of the aacua over his head. This allows me to carry him close to me and keeps him snuggly and warm all in one swift motion! It is then equally simple to lay him down and use this product as a baby-wrap. This swaddle-like function is designed to keep baby warm as you prepare their clothing, diapers, etc. This is NOT meant as a sleep-swaddler. The maamam aacua is only meant to be worn for a short time after giving baby a bath. I have to admit, Xander hates the baby wrap setting. I don't know why, but he just doesn't enjoy the sensation of being wrapped up like that now that he's a little older. All babies differ, though, and this may just be unique to his particular tastes. For Sophie, my toddler, I like using the aacua as a bathwrap. She enjoys it, too, if you couldn't tell by the photo at the top of the post! The maamam aacua keeps her warm and cozy after she gets out of the warm bathwater and the absorbent properties of the aacua also help her dry off as she runs around. Yes, my daughter likes to run around naked as a jay-bird for a few minutes after her baths. Only after doing so will she settle down enough to allow me to get her diapered and dressed. Overall, I think the maamam aacua is a decent product that will definitely make bath time more convenient. I enjoyed the apron, towel, and bathwrap settings, but the baby wrap function just didn't fly with my 7 month old. Regardless, this product is definitely worth the investment. The aacua is wonderful for keeping babies and toddlers alike happy, warm, and dry! BUY IT: You can purchase maamam products on their website.
