No other compensation was provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** ![]() The other day, I was at the store and saw school supplies, backpacks, and all of the supply lists out. I had to do a double-take, since this wasn't what I was expecting to see already. It's hard to believe that summer is halfway over! We've been having so much fun that time has just flown by! But back to school season is indeed upon us, and parents and kids everywhere are thinking ahead to the new school year. There are so many things that need to get done. Shopping for clothing, school supplies, tissues and copious amounts of hand sanitizer, just to name the obvious. When kids are younger, they're pretty easy to please. Get them their favorite character backpack and some pretty folders and they're thrilled. If you have a teen or tween, things can get a bit more complicated. For older kids, image is everything. Teens love to stand out and be noticed by their peers. My 13 year old, for example, currently has blue hair and likes wearing vibrantly colored skinny jeans. (I am hoping it's a phase!) So when you're shopping for your teens and tweens this year, it's a great idea to let them celebrate their individuality. Not only does this give them confidence and a strong sense of self, it also gets them excited about heading back to school after a long, lazy summer. LockerLookz offers tons of fun ways that kids can express their own unique styles and creativity. (No blue hair necessary! Phew!) Haven't heard of LockerLookz? Trust me, you will. Their extensive line of products are all the rage with middle and high-schoolers, particularly girls. These products allow kids to "dress-up" their lockers in some pretty inventive ways. All of their products are magnetic, so there will be absolutely no damage to locker surfaces. They're also easy to install. Take a look at just a few examples of lockers that are blinged-out with LockerLookz products : How cool is that?! These are definitely not the lockers I had when I was a student! I was lucky to find a cheap, magnetic mirror and some photos to stick up. There weren't fancy options available to my generation. So as I walked uphill (both ways, of course) in 3 feet of snow to school, I had a drab, boring, locker waiting to greet me. (Can you tell I am jealous of today's kids?!) Since I don't have a physical locker to try these products out on, and I am not breaking and entering at any of our local schools for the sake of getting photos, you'll just have to imagine the end result as I walk you through a few of the great accessories from LockerLookz. Currently, these products are geared towards girls, so I have enlisted the help of a teen neighbor for this review. When she saw the package of products, her eyes lit up and she said all of her friends would be totally jealous! Here is a really cute, plush area rug, which is sized to perfectly fit your standard sized locker. It is very well made, and has a neat shag-like appearance. There are several colors to choose from, but we chose the basic black. After all, black goes with everything! Remember the cheap, gross mirror I talked about having? Well LockerLookz has a much better option for fashion-conscious teens. Check out this magnetic locker mirror. I love the zebra print and the circular shape! SO much more chic than the plain, flimsy white mirror I had as a kid! Now we're going to get really fancy. LockerLookz offers several lighting options for lockers! Yes. I just said lighting! How is a gal going to fix her lip gloss between classes without proper lighting? These are so incredibly cool. They are motion activated, and will turn on when the locker is opened. Again, there are a few options available in different colors. Here is a white chandelier with crystal-like embellishments. Girls like pretty things. Flowers, jewels, feathers...Anything feminine and fun is sure to make a gal light up and feel special. Check out this pretty Aqua Locker Flower! It has fabric petals and a dazzling "jewel" in the center. This, like all other LockerLookz products, is easy to install and doesn't damage locker surfaces. Of course a teen or tween girl needs somewhere to store her pens, pencils, lip gloss, notes, etc. These Fashion Bins are the perfect solution for storing small items. They are magnetic, and come in various fashionable styles. I wish I would have had something like this. My locker was SO disorganized! If these gorgeous accessories aren't enough, you can also get some funky, fresh wallpaper for your child's locker this year! Don't worry...No cutting is required, as these are packaged pre-cut to fit a standard locker. It's also easily adjustable for smaller locker spaces, too. There is no adhesive necessary to apply this wallpaper. It comes with 20 super strong magnets that hold it in place perfectly. It's also incredibly durable and tear resistant! So if you're looking for a fun, easy way to get your child excited about heading back to school, why not check out the huge variety of styles from LockerLookz? This is a great way to allow kids to express themselves at school, and might even spark some interest in interior design. Who knows? Maybe your daughter will end up designing something MTV Cribz-worthy! If they had a locker edition, of course!
