First of all, before anyone I know in real life freaks, I want to clear something up...NO, I am NOT pregnant! If I were, it would mean it's immaculate conception or alien abduction, since after Xander was born I made the drugged-up, stupid decision to have my tubes tied, cut, AND burned. Honestly, why they would allow a medicated woman who had just had her 2nd C-section in 12 months make such a major decision, I will never know. Of course at that moment, I was all for a tubal ligation. Now I am regretting it because the side effects are awful! (But that's a whole different post.) While I am not expecting right now, I did spend pretty much all of 2009 and 2010 pregnant. One of my biggest challenges? Finding maternity clothing that was affordable AND cute. Luckily, I never needed to really buy many maternity items. I was so sick during my whole pregnancy with Sophie that I actually ended up losing a great deal of weight, so my "normal" clothes turned into my "fat" clothes, which made them perfect for pregnancy. But a lot of these garments were not made to flatter a pregnant woman's ever-changing shape. So while I didn't need to buy a ton of maternity clothing, I did find myself buying several tops. One GREAT place to find trendy maternity clothes that won't break the bank is Kiki's Fashions! I wish I knew about them when I was expecting! Kiki's Fashions is an online boutique that offers some of the cutest, most fashion forward maternity fashions at fabulous prices that will leave enough money in the bank for all of those late night cravings. (In my case, it was always Taco Bell!) They have a fantastic selection of tops, dresses, bottoms, and even some gorgeous coats. Gone are the days of frumpty-dumpty, mu-mu like maternity clothes. I mean, the clothing at Kiki's Fashions is actually cute! Don't believe me? Check out some of my favorites: See what I mean? These are not your mother's maternity clothes! I actually received a top to review from Kiki's Fashions. Since I am not pregnant, I ordered a size small, hoping it would fit like a regular top. I am a D-cup, so I usually wear tops that are a medium or sometimes large, depending on the garment. The top I received looks just like the one at the beginning of this post, but in purple. When it arrived, I was immediately struck by the softness of the material. This top felt almost velvety to the touch. I tried it on, and BAM! I had a new favorite shirt! (No one needs to know it's actually a pregnancy top, right?) It fits me very, very well, despite the fact that I have no baby bump, and it is extremely comfortable to wear. I even wore it during our trip to Ohio over Thanksgiving break, and I received a ton of compliments! My hubby even went as far as saying I looked sexy in it! (Pictures to come soon... It's being washed right now with all of the clothing we packed for the trip!) Overall, I couldn't be more impressed by the great selection of high quality, cheap maternity clothes at Kiki's Fashions. Not only can you buy an entire maternity ensemble for a fraction of the price you'd expect to pay, you'll also be one of the trendiest, hottest mamas out there! Who says pregnancy can't be sexy? With Kiki's Fashions, you'll always look polished, fashionable, and simply gorgeous! I would definitely recommend that any of my expecting mamas out there check them out! I love their skinny jeans, you can still look great while being pregnant! Plus it helps cover up some important parts if your dress gets too short! HAHA!
