![]() As you all know by now, I LOVE fluff! Cloth-diapering was something I stumbled upon when we discovered we were pregnant AGAIN only 3 months after our daughter was born. After trying for years to have a baby and dealing with secondary infertility, talk about the shock of a lifetime! But along with that shock came the reality of the situation. Another baby, only 12 months after Sophie was born meant another mouth to feed, more clothes to buy, and another baby to diaper. When you think of the cost of keeping two very different sized babies in disposable diapers, the cost is astronomical! So rather than getting a part time job just to afford the diapers alone, a friend from high school suggested cloth. At first, I was incredibly skeptical. I had visions of gigantic pins, prefolds, and squeaky rubber pants. I thought cloth would be gross...Smelly...Hard to use. But after my friend and her beautiful family came to visit from the Carolinas and I saw cloth in action, I was hooked. Who knew cloth was so incredibly user-friendly? Not to mention ADORABLE! So my love affair with fluff was born. Not only is cloth an economical choice, it is also much better for baby and the environment. Since cloth diapers do not contain all of the nasty chemicals found in their disposable counterparts, babies experience less rashes, less irritation, and are all around happier. I guess I would be happier, too, if I had something soft and fluffy on my butt rather than scratchy, soggy, chemical-laden paper! Using cloth-diapers also plays a huge role in helping the environment because they are reusable and help keep waste out of the Earth's landfills. Did you know it can take up to 500 YEARS for disposable diapers to biodegrade? If you think of all the diapers from all the babies in the world just piling up, that is a LOT of waste being added to our already overflowing landfills! One great place for all of your cloth diapering needs is Ju-Ju Monkey. First of all, I am a monkey fanatic, so the name and cute little logo was enough to spark my interest in this Lehigh Valley based webstore. But they also carry a HUGE selection of only the finest cloth-diapers available, including brands like FuzziBunz, bumGenius, Econobum, Imse Vimse, bumkins and SLOOMB. They even offer a great Buy and Try Program that allows families considering making the switch to cloth the opportunity to try cloth diapers. The great things about the "30 Day Buy & Try” program is that it is virtually risk-free. You can wash them, use them, and if you are not completely satisfied simply contact Ju-Ju Monkey for store credit. If it turns out that cloth diapering is not for you, they have a large selection of other baby products your family is sure to love. I was lucky enough to receive a Charlie Banana OS (one-size) Pocket Diaper in their adorable Orbit print for review. Take a look at how cute this diaper is! ![]() Xander rocking his Charlie Banana! MY OPINION: I absolutely LOVE the Charlie Banana OS Pocket Diaper! Not only do they come in bright, vibrant colors, they also have some of the most adorable prints around. From a cute flowers and butterflies pattern for your girly girls to a manly construction print for boys, they offer something for everyone! And they even offer a black diaper for you fashionistas out there. I happen to LOVE black diapers, and not many companies carry them. Aside from the downright adorable appearance of these diapers, they are also THE softest diapers I have ever seen. The interior of the Charlie Banana OS Diaper is velvety soft, as is the included insert. So soft, in fact, that my daughter likes to grab this diaper (when it's clean) and rub it all over her face. She even fell asleep snuggling this dipe! Yes, it's really that soft! Another great feature of this diaper is that it offers a 2-in-1 diapering system. You can stuff it with reusable inserts, which I prefer to do, OR you can tuck in a disposable pad when you're on the go! Charlie Banana OS Diapers have a front flap that you can tuck the disposable insert into, and then lay it directly on top of the fleece, making this a perfect Hybrid diaper! I have not personally tried using disposable inserts with this diaper, but it's nice to know that this is an option. Especially when leaving the kids with sitters who aren't exactly cloth-diaper enthusiasts! But looks and feel aside, let's get down to the important part: Do they work? In one word: Absolutely! Charlie Banana OS Pocket Diapers are fully adjustable to fit babies from about 8lbs all the way to potty training. So my Charlie Banana fits both of my children wonderfully. They even offer unique hip snaps to offer a snug, secure fit on smaller babies! I tried this diaper for both day and night time use on both babies. For daytime use, this diaper is fabulous! Neither child experienced any leaks at all! I had similar results at night, although I did have to double-up on the inserts with my heavy wetting daughter. This is nothing new to me, though, as this is usually the case with any diapers I use for overnight purposes. Charlie Banana OS diapers offer great protection against leaks and keep messes in the diaper where they belong. We are quite happy with our Charlie Banana OS Pocket Diaper, and this has become a favorite in our normal diaper rotation. I would definitely recommend Ju-Ju Monkey for all of your diapering and baby needs. They offer a great selection of only the best products, including this Charlie Banana OS dipe, and they also are incredibly helpful, friendly, and are a pleasure to work with! So whether you're a cloth-diapering pro or just curious, give them a shot! The staff at Ju-Ju Monkey is highly knowledgeable in their wonderful product line and will be happy to get you on the track to a successful cloth-diapering routine! BUY IT: You can purchase this and many other fabulous products on Ju-Ju Monkey's website. You can also follow them on Facebook and on twitter to stay on top of their latest products and promotions! I learned that they have a newborn cloth diaper rental program. That is great to know b/c we are thinking about expanding our family and were just talking about buying a stash of newborn diapers. Renting them instead could save us lots of money... by the way, the weehuggers owls cover on the homepage is super cute!

I have to agree that Charlie Bananas are wonderful diapers. My favorite part about them is the way you put the inserts in with the flap inside the front of the diaper. Because the pocket is not at the back of the diaper, there is no chance that the insert or part of the inner lining will stick out in the back and wick onto the baby's clothes. Had to nag other people who would change my little guy's diaper to always keep checking the back of the FuzziBunz XS that we used during the Newborn Rental program, which by the way, is fabulous and highly recommended!
