***Disclosure: I’m participating in the Evolution Fresh blogger campaign and received compensation as part of the program. Regardless, all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.***
In my home, I am affectionately known as the "Junk Food Nazi". Now, I am not completely anti-treat....I just choose to feed my family healthy, organically made foods rather than convenience foods that are full of unhealthy fats, chemicals, and preservatives whenever possible. So most of our goodies like cookies, cakes, etc are made from scratch, or come from brands I trust to be free of unnecessary additives. Of course Dan undermines me any chance he gets, and sneaks the crapola into the house when he thinks I'm not looking. He's a sugar-addict, and old habits die hard, I suppose.

One struggle I have in my home is making sure everyone gets the right amount of fruits and veggies. I love veggies of all kinds, and so do the kids....within reason. The hubby? Well, unless it's corn, green beans, or potatoes, chances are, he's not eating it. He is the very definition of anti-veggie.
Recently, when I learned that one of my favorite juice brands, Evolution Fresh, had launched their #3DaysToGreen Challenge, I thought it would be a great idea to participate....And convince my veggie-hating husband that he should, too. Convincing him of this was not an easy task, but like most women, I have my ways.

So Dan and I went to our local Whole Foods to grab some Evolution Fresh for our 3 day journey. And somehow, we managed to escape with our bank account intact. Score! I am SO in love with the high quality, REAL foods at Whole Foods, so shopping there often is pretty dangerous for me.

Evolution Fresh juices – Sweet Greens and Lemon, Essential Greens, Organic Sweet Greens and Ginger, and Smooth Greens – have over one pound of green vegetables in every bottle and less than ten grams of sugar per serving. And there is nothing added – no preservatives, no sweeteners, no flavors – No additives at all....not even natural ones. All you get is pure, delicious juice, just as Mother Nature intended.

Okay, so the 3 Days to Green Challenge is super-simple. Really, it is. Painless, too. I promise!

All you need to do is add a bottle of Evolution Fresh to your (hopefully) healthy diet. Adding this amazing, cold-pressed, pure juice to your daily routine is a fantastic way to ensure you're receiving all of the wonderful nutrition found in fruits and veggies, even if you're stubborn about eating them.

I am pleased to report, Dan and I both completed the 3 Days to Green challenge with very little problem at all. After all, it's just drinking some juice and making health-conscious food choices, right?

I have to admit, Dan was a little creeped out by the green juice varieties. Remember? He's "allergic" to vegetables. He found them to be nice and refreshing, though, and said they weren't too terribly bad. He especially liked the herbal flavors found in the Essential Greens with Lime. It has a pleasant, parsley-like flavor, but it's not too overwhelming. While he probably wouldn't choose the green juices himself, he certainly didn't push them away, either. Coming from him, that's quite the compliment!

I loved all the juices equally. My favorites were the green varieties, like the Super Greens and the Essential Greens with Lime. I really love things like kale, spinach, and broccoli rabe, so my love for these didn't come as much of a shocker.

Overall, we both enjoyed our 3 Days to Green experience with Evolution Fresh. The juices were delicious, easy to drink, and it didn't feel like punishment for my veggie-hating husband. I already eat a lot of veggies, so I didn't feel any physical difference, but Dan said he felt a bit more energized. (Probably because all the sugar he'd normally consume makes him sluggish.) I think this is something we will continue, since it definitely makes getting all of those uber-important servings of veggies quick and painless for the whole family!
