See this sweet, seemingly innocent little face? This is my 11 month old son, Xander. Sure, he may look adorable....But underneath the handsome exterior lays a not-so-pleasant alter ego.... This cute little guy is known in my home as "The Poop Monster." This child is always pooping, and it is the worst smelling, most rancid baby poo I have ever had to deal with. (And I have had to deal with a LOT of babies in my 30 years!) Being a cloth-diapering family, Xander's explosions have posed a bit of an unpleasant dilemma. For one, it's really gross having to spray his messes away. The other problem? Well, like I said, his poo STINKS to high heaven! Since we don't throw our diapers away once they're soiled, this leaves us with the task of finding away of effectively storing these diapers between wash loads without making the house smell like something died. No, that is not an exaggeration. Not at all. Don't believe me? Change my little man's diapers for a day and you'll see what I mean! So naturally, we are always in need of a good wet bag. When I was chosen to be a part of the Incredimoms blogger for the brand new cloth-diaper brand, Incredibum, I don't know if I was more excited about reviewing their gorgeous, bamboo diapers or their wet bags. Yep, wet bags get me excited. Haven't heard of Incredibum yet? You will! As a matter of fact, I will have more upcoming reviews and giveaways of these products, so stay tuned! Let me tell you a little about Incredibum. This company offers a great selection of bamboo cloth diapers as well as must-have diapering accessories like bamboo wipes and of course, wet bags! All of their products come in a fun range of attractive colors and are specifically designed to be effective and durable, all while remaining eco-friendly as well as economical. I was thrilled to receive the Incredibum Large Wet Bag for my review. When it arrived, I was immediately struck by the high quality and HUGE size of this wet bag. The Large wet bag is exactly the right size for my family. Since we have not one, but TWO babies in cloth, we go through a lot of diapers! I was actually able to fit around 25 diapers and their respective inserts into this bag with no problems at all! For families with multiple kids in cloth, this bag is a God-send! Alternately, this is also a wonderful bag for day trips as well as for traveling! The Incredibum Wet Bags are made of a super-soft yet durable fabric and come in bright, vibrant colors. I received the Ocean/Firecracker wet bag, and absolutely LOVE the contrast between the bright, cheery red and the cool, soothing blue. Linda over at Incredibum must be a mind-reader, since this is my favorite color scheme! One of the cool things about these wet bags is the fact that it is totally reversible. That's right! You can change the color of your wet bag to suit your mood simply by turning it inside out! Take a look! Overall, I am absolutely in love with my Incredibum Wet Bag. Initially, I was a little nervous about the drawstring closure on the bag. You see, all of my other wet bags have zippered closures, so I was unsure if this bag would keep the stink at bay. I have found that it works just as well as my other wet bags. Since the drawstring closes very tightly, I haven't noticed any seeping odors, even when the bag is full. (Even if I have it hanging in a smaller, confined space, such as a bathroom or closet.) I also love how thick the fabric is. This is no flimsy wet bag! It is definitely quite heavy duty, and can withstand the weight of dozens of soiled diapers. And yes, between my 2 year old daughter and my 11 month old son, I can go through a lot of cloth diapers over a 2 or 3 day period between washes! Another wonderful thing about the Incredibum Wet Bag is the fact that it does not leak. At all. Ever. Even with freshly sprayed, sopping wet diapers inside of it. The outside of this bag remains dry to the touch, which makes life easier for me. There's nothing worse than grabbing a damp, icky bag when it's time to do my cloth-diaper laundry. Speaking of laundry, this wet bag is also very easy to clean. Simply toss it into the wash with your cloth diapers and you're good to go! Of course, just like with fluff, you won't want to use any heavy detergents with fragrances or dyes, bleach, or any type of fabric softeners on this bag. But I'm sure all of my awesome, fluff-loving mamas out there already knew that, right? Once you've washed your wet bag, either line dry or tumble dry on low to maintain the integrity of the bag. It's actually very fast-drying, too! I would definitely recommend the Incredibum Wet Bag to all my cloth-diapering friends out there. This is a great bag, and is built to last even beyond your baby's diapering career. Think beach bag or laundry bag! The possibilities are endless! Stay tuned for another Incredibum feature in the not so distant future! As an Incredimom, I will have more in store for you soon! BUY IT: You can purchase this and other awesome Incredibum products at Sandbox Lane or at these other fine retailers! You can also follow Incredibum on Facebook and on twitter to stay on top of their latest products and promotions! WIN IT! One of my very lucky readers will receive an Incredibum Wet Bag of their own!
