![]() It's no big secret that it took my husband and I YEARS to conceive our daughter due to secondary infertility. During the time we were trying to get pregnant, I actually became one of those depressed, obsessed, moody women who took every passing month of no baby as a harsh, personal blow. I couldn't handle the fact that everyone around us was having babies, and I prayed every single day that it would be our turn. It wasn't until I had literally given up and we were approved with an adoption agency that we finally and quite unexpectedly became pregnant with our daughter, Sophia. When I took that first pregnancy test on a whim, I expected it to be negative, as usual. Then there were 2 beautiful little lines that would literally change our lives forever. Our dream of expanding our family was finally coming true! I had a difficult, high-risk pregnancy, and was ordered to remain on modified bed-rest for almost the entire 9 months. So naturally, all I could do was sit around and daydream about my baby-to-be. What would the baby look like? Would he/she have my eyes? Would it have a head full of hair, or would the baby be bald like my firstborn? And of course, I obsessively wondered about the gender. (What expectant mama doesn't?!) You see, I had wanted a daughter as long as I could remember. I did all of the old wive's tests to determine gender with very mixed results. Then I heard about IntelliGender. What is IntelliGender? It's an at-home gender prediction test that is used much like a pregnancy test. You pee into a cup, mix it with a special solution found in the IntelliGender kit, and you swirl it around and then wait for your results. For a girl, one should get orange results. A boy will produce green/bluish results. I am not 100% sure what is being measured to determine gender, but I do know that you shouldn't run out and buy a layette or paint the nursery based on your results alone. Nothing takes the place of an ultrasound from a trained specialist. But if 20 weeks is just too darn long to be kept in suspense, IntelliGender is a fun way to pass the time, and might just give you the results you've been hoping for! How do I know? Well, because IntelliGender worked for me. TWICE! When I was pregnant with our daughter, I received a very clear GIRL result. See below: Well, as you can see, IntelliGender was dead on! We definitely have a little girl, and a very girly-girl, at that! But can you imagine our absolute horror...I mean, SHOCK, when we found out we were pregnant AGAIN when Sophie was only about 3 months old?! Eeek! Needless to say, the timing was terrible. But we braced ourselves for the craziness about to come and prepared to welcome another new addition to our family. On a personal note: While Xander was a surprise, he was also a major blessing. We had to plan and try for years to have his sister, and experienced 3 miscarriages and a lot of heartache in the process. So while Xander came with horrible timing, we didn't have to try over and over and over again....Moral of the story: Obviously prayer works! I prayed so hard for one baby that I ended up getting two within 12 months! Anyway, when I was around 12 weeks pregnant, I started getting antsy again. Out came all of the old gender prediction tests. And of course, I went and bought another IntelliGender gender prediction test, too! Here are the results: In this case, I think the photos speak for themselves. I had success both times I used IntelliGender kits. These tests quickly and accurately predicted the genders of my youngest 2 children. The test is easy to use, comes with simple instructions, and is a whole lot of fun for expectant parents. Will you necessarily get a correct result? While the test is not 100%, I think the odds are good. I got correct results twice. I even retested after my BOY result, and lo and behold, I got another BOY result. I would definitely recommend IntelliGender to any curious, expectant parents out there. This test is a lot of fun, simple to use, and just might let you know whether you'll have a Matthew or a Michaela on your hands! I would like to try this as we are hoping to have a boy next...it would be nice to know at 10 weeks rather than waiting for 20 weeks.

I learned that you can test as early as 10 weeks along and that the test is based on hormones reactions to chemicals to determine the gender. I'm hoping for a girl next time and am using the Chinese Gender Chart with ttc, this test would be a great win, because I'm the most impatient person when it comes to knowing the sex of the baby!

I have never used this before but I think it would be fun to try... I am currently only a couple weeks along and it would be fun to use this test and then see if it was right!

I would love to try the nature's nipple prep cream. I haven't tried any of these products yet, but wish I had the intelligender kit earlier, just to see how it stacked up to the ultrasound results!
