Sophie LOVES Pop Snax! Wow! I can't believe that November has flown by so rapidly and that Thanksgiving is just over a week away! I guess time flies when you're having fun, right? And we, as parents, all know that when you have small children in the house, there is never a dull moment to be had. (Not in my home, at least!) With Turkey Day so close, I will be running around like a chicken with my head cut off over the next several days preparing for our trip to Ohio to see my Grandma and then to Maryland to spend the Holiday with my husband's father and his awesome family. I am super excited about getting away, and I absolutely love seeing the best Grandma in the history of the world. This is a woman who would stay up with us till 2:00AM playing Trivial Pursuit or Scrabble, would let us watch MTV all night long, back when they actually played music videos. (Did I just give away my age?) She is also my shoulder to cry on, always willing to listen when I need someone to talk to, and she makes the BEST chicken burgers ever. I talk to her almost every single day, and I am so glad that my babies will get to spend a few days with her! While I am thrilled to take our road trip to Ohio, there is one thing I am more than a little nervous about: An 8 hour car ride with a preteen, a baby, and a toddler. Not to mention the fact that my husband will be driving. If you happen to know my hubby, you'll understand what I mean.Oh. My. Goodness. I'm not sure I will be able to survive the road with my sanity intact! All kidding aside, traveling with kids can be tough. My oldest will undoubtedly pester me with a litany of "Are we there yet?" and my baby and my toddler might decide they hate being in the car that long and get cranky. We will be driving through the mountains, and there aren't many places to stop for food. And if you have kids, you know as well as I do that they WILL get hungry, right after you pass the last rest stop for 150 miles. Now THAT part of the trip I have covered, thanks to Earth's Best! Packed away in my travel bag is a veritable arsenal of healthy snacks for my youngest kids from Earth's Best. This will ensure that they get the best possible nutrition while we're on the road. It can be so tempting to stop and grab unhealthy fast food when traveling with small children. The hunger strikes, and many times, the only option is stopping to grab a quick meal. I am rather strict when it comes to what my babies eat, and I don't like giving them fast food if at all possible. Earth's Best has some wonderful, nutritious snacks that are perfect while you're on the go! Even better? They actually taste GOOD, and will please even the pickiest of toddlers, like my Sophie! From crunchy, fun Pop Snax to their Sesame Street Snackin' Fruit Hearts, there is something every child is sure to happily gobble, gobble, gobble! (Yes, that was a cheesy Thanksgiving reference!) Earth's Best even has great pouches of baby food and smoothies that are yummy and super-portable! As always, these products are free of preservatives, chemicals, and other yucky additives. Earth's Best products are made from only the best organic ingredients, giving kids a taste they love while providing parents with peace of mind. Take a look at what I am packing for our trip: Xander enjoying Earth's Best Fruit Yogurt Smoothie! Once we arrive in Ohio, there are other challenges a parent faces while celebrating the Holidays with the kids. I know that many families love to put out tempting foods like dips, chips, cheeses, pierogis, and many other delicious but fattening foods. Again, I rely on my Earth's Best snacks to get my kids through the day. Let's face it: Bored, hungry, cranky kids are not happy kids! A kid-proofed Thanksgiving celebration will make everyone’s day more enjoyable. Here are ways to ensure the little ones have what they need when their tummies are rumbling and boredom sets in:
