Sounds too good to be true, doesn't it? I absolutely love the whole PlayMG concept. I have 3 kids who are always begging to play with my iPhone, so this is the perfect solution! Plus, the fact that I can check to see what apps are being used and how much time is spent on them is a huge bonus for me as a parent. Our Review of the playmg :

Our PlayMG unit arrived SUPER fast. So fast, in fact, that when I got my FedEx delivery notification online, I thought I had won some major prize like an iPad from one of the many sweeps I enter. Seriously, it was here within 2 days of agreeing to review it. Of course while I was bummed that I didn't win something amazing, I was also thrilled to receive this awesome device! Very impressive shipping, and I have also gotten amazing customer service from the rep I am working with! 

The PlayMG comes with everything you need to start gaming. Or surfing. Or reading. Or rocking out to some Bruno Mars. Or reading a classic novel. Or checking out the latest movies and TV shows. Well, you get the idea. This truly is an all-in-one entertainment device! 

Our PlayMG has 24GB of storage. It includes 8 GB of memory, as well as a 16GB Micro SC card. So really, as long as you are willing to purchase another card, you could technically expand it to be much larger. We made ours 40GB using a card we already had sitting around! 

Also included is a charger and a Spend Smart Debit Mastercard for app purchases. If you sign up for this option and load at least $10, you will get $10 FREE! This is a great way to teach kids to manage money. I plan to have Kyle earn money by doing chores, etc, and then loading the funds to the card so he can purchase movies, games, or music. 

If you haven't checked out everything that's available on Google Play, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. There are tons of great movies and TV shows, including one of my favorite new movies, Monsters University! 

If you're feeling scholarly, there are also tons of wonderful e-books to read. Even classics like Treasure Island and The Three Musketeers! This should come in handy for Kyle's required reading both now and next year when he enters high school! 

And yes, all of your must have apps are available as well. I couldn't live without Facebook and Instagram! PlayMG offers these, as well as many other favorites including Bitstrips, Pandora, and Candy Crack...Oops, I mean Candy Crush. I say crack because it seems that everyone who plays becomes an addict! 

But the best thing about the PlayMG? The games, of course! There are loads of games that come pre-loaded on the unit, but of course you can always add more. The first thing I added was my son's favorite game, Kick the Buddy! 

The graphics are fantastic, and the touchscreen is the perfect sensitivity and does not have any noticeable lag time. Check out how crisp and clear the graphics for this EA Sports NBA game are! Makes you feel like you're right there at the big game! 

There are also puzzle games and games suitable for younger players. This is a huge plus since we also have 2 preschoolers! They obviously aren't going to want to play the same games that my teen plays. Plus, I can always download more when they grow tired of the pre-installed games. 

Overall, we couldn't be happier with the PlayMG. This baby does it all, and does it well. I love the fact that it can be used in so many different ways. I know once Christmas comes and Kyle knows he has this, he will use it for everything...Guess his iPod, tablet, and netbook may start collecting dust! 

I would definitely recommend the PlayMG to anyone, young or old, who loves having the convenience of the internet and the best games around at their fingertips at all times. And with absolutely no expensive monthly data charges! If you have wifi, you're good to go. This is definitely a must-have gift this Holiday season!
