***Disclosure: I received a complimentary sample to facilitate my review. No other compensation was provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** As the mother of 3 kids, I am always on the lookout for fun products that all of my kids will be able to use at some point. This can be challenging since I have an adult-sized teen and 2 preschoolers. Of course in the case of the Plasma Car byPlaSmart, Kyle, my 13 year old, is big enough to ride this, too! .The Plasma Car accommodates riders of all sizes, up to around 220lbs on smooth surfaces. How cool is that?! The Plasma Car is made by PlaSmart, a Canadian company that avoids noisy, electronic toys that have a shelf life shorter than my beloved, yet played out, Ed Hardy wardrobe. Kids often bore quickly of such toys, and PlaSmart understand this. So they offer timeless products that are not only a ton of fun, but are also enduring. The wonderful products from PlaSmart are toys that a child will go back to over and over again, rather than toss into a box to collect dust. They offer a wide variety of other toys and games that are designed to stimulate little imaginations and promote creative play. Many of their toys also allow a kid to go outside and get physical exercise, which is so important for children in the age of this childhood obesity epidemic. They even have a Balance Bike for babies and toddlers! Yes, the folks at PlaSmart are a parent's dream come true, since they offer products that allow a child to be stimulated in many different ways, whether it be mental or physical...Or Both! My Plasma Car arrived very quickly, and was so easy to assemble. I will fully admit, I do not have a mechanically inclined bone in my body, so I left the assembly to my husband. He had it together and ready to ride in a matter of minutes! The concept of the Plasma Car is simple and quite genius. You see, this awesome little ride-on toy requires no batteries or gas whatsoever. It is KID POWERED! The PlamaCar uses basic physics to power the toy, tapping into the natural force of inertia and friction. Pair this with centrifugal force, and you've got GO power! In plain English? The Plasma Car is operated by turning the special steering wheel back and forth. That's it! All that is needed to make this baby go is the weight of a child (or adult) and simple movement of the wheel! The Plasma Car has a comfortable seat that is designed to accommodate bottoms of all sizes. (Yes, this is comfy, even for an adult!) It also has very durable wheels that allow the PlasmaCar to reach fast speeds while remaining stable. All 3 of my kiddos adore the PlasmaCar. Sophie and Kyle get the most use out of it, since Xander is still a bit short to be able to steer it comfortably. Seriously, he is almost 3 but I have seen 1 year olds the same size as him! Sophie loves chasing our cats and dogs around on the PlasmaCar. On carpet, she can certainly move, but not as quickly as our fur-babies! Kyle loves taking the PlasmaCar outside. We live on a one way street that happens to have a good slope to it. Kyle loves racing down the hill and pretending he's driving a real car. I admit, I am always scared he will get into an accident, but there have been no cuts, scrapes, or bruises so far. So as you can see, the Plasma Car is TONS of fun for all ages! I do recommend that this toy be used on flat surfaces. It does work on rougher terrain, but it doesn't move as quickly. The maximum speed is 6mph, which is fast enough to be a thrill, but not dangerous for young children. Also, this toy should NOT be used on wooden floors, as the wheels can cause scuff marks and damage. But on sidewalks, vinyl, and linoleum, this great little ride on toy operates perfectly. And it's so easy to use! I know that the Plasma Car will be loved in my household for years to come. And since this product is virtually one-size-fits-all, my entire family can enjoy it! I must admit, Dan and I both took this little marvel for a spin, and it was so much fun! We were shocked that the Plasma Car supported our weight and was easy for us adults to operate. FYI: Dan is 5'9" and weighs 170lbs and I am 5'4" and weigh 140lbs, and my teen is . So while the Plasma Car may look small, appearances can be deceiving. It can accommodate adults quite easily. I would definitely recommend the Plasma Car to any family that wants an inexhaustible source of fun that everyone in the family can enjoy. This product is durable, so it can provide years of fun for your kids and will grow WITH them! I love that this a toy my children will not simply outgrow in a matter of months. I also love the fact that this requires no batteries or gas. Only "Kid Power"! I am a fan of this great innovation of ride on toys. So much, in fact, I am considering buying another one so my kids can have Plasma Car races when the weather permits, or when my son has friends over. The Plasma Car gets an A++ from this mama! Why is it that all the really cool ideas come out of Canada? They have poutine, their Taco Bells have French Fries (or did the last time I visited the Toronto area) and they have the greatest coffee in the world at a place called Tim Horton's. And they developed the Plasma Car! So Canada once again has proved that their people are ingenious! Except for the bagged milk....That one I will never quite "get." So if you haven't checked out all of the awesome things PlaSmart has to offer, I suggest you check them out. These Canadian made toys are absolutely amazing, and sure to bring plenty of smiles to young and old alike! How to Connect : You can learn about this and other PlaSmart products on their website. There are plenty of online and brick and mortar retailers that carry these products, so be sure to refer to the handy retail locator pages on the product pages. You can also follow PlaSmart on Facebook and on twitter to stay on top of their latest products and promotions. For even more PlaSmart fun, check out their YouTube Channel, Pinterest boards and their blog! Enter to WIN : I am thrilled to announce that one lucky reader will receive their very own PlasmaCar from the generous folks at PlaSmart!
