![]() If you're anything like me, you have some people on your Holiday gift list that are very difficult to shop for. You know, the people who either seem to have everything already, or those who simply say "I don't know" when asked what they'd like to receive. My husband is a prime example of this! What does HE want for Christmas? I kid you now, an S-Class Mercedes something-or-other that costs more than some houses. Yeah, that is so not going to happen any time soon! So when shopping for my husband, I have to get creative. Dan, being the typical man's man, loves beer. And what goes great with beer, especially during those sporting events? Soft pretzels! When looking online for a way to make homemade soft pretzels, I stumbled upon Nostalgia Electrics. This company is awesome, offering tons of innovative and fun electric appliances that bring the fun back into the kitchen. Some of their products include Fondue Fountains, Slush Drink Makers, and yes, they even have a Kegorator, something my husband has been desperately wanting for the entirety of his adult life. They also carry some awesome, retro-styled refrigerators, toasters, and other fun items that will make you feel like you've stepped back in time to a genuine 1950's diner! I was thrilled to receive the Soft Pretzel Factory for my review. While the hubby still doesn't have a Kegorator, he can have all the soft pretzels his heart desires as he settles down on the couch with his bottled beer to watch the Bears games. (Yes, I realize I SHOULD be a Redskins fan, living in Virginia, but we're Chicago fans all the way!) The Soft Pretzel Factory from Nostalgia Electrics is actually really neat. With this small, space-saving appliance, you can make chewy, delicious soft pretzels in the comfort of your own kitchen without ever having to turn on the oven! Take a look at this awesome little machine: Here are some of the wonderful features of the Nostalgia Electrics Soft Pretzel Factory:
-Makes 2 large or 6 small soft pretzels at one time - Nonstick coating - Power and preheat indicator lights - 3-5 minute cooking time - Pretzel dough cutter makes perfect pretzel shapes. Overall, I really love this kitchen electric. It's super easy to use, and makes soft pretzels faster than it takes to preheat a conventional oven. Since you can use any dough you'd like, your pretzels can be different every time you make them! Love cinnamon sugar pretzels? You can make those easily! Perhaps jalapeno cheddar? You can make those, too! Or maybe you love a buttery, salted pretzel with a nice cheese dip? Well, you're covered there, too. Of course the Soft Pretzel Factory doesn't make the dip for you, but that's easy enough to do. The possibilities are endless when using this awesome machine! We've made a few different varieties, and each time, the results are consistent: Chewy, soft pretzels. Of course a lot of the flavor has to do with the dough you use. But we haven't tried a variation yet that we didn't absolutely love! My husband's favorite is a sea-salt pretzel with a nice, spicy German mustard dip! For adults or even older kids, the large pretzels are awesome. They remind me of those much-loved pretzels found in shopping malls across the country. For little kids, like my toddler, there are smaller pretzels that are ideal for little hands. Sophie just loves the mini pretzels and loves dipping them into cheese or even chocolate dips. Another thing I really like is how easy to clean this product is. Since it has a non-stick coating, all you need to do is wipe it clean between each batch if making several at once, or simply wash it after use. Nothing gets stuck or gunked on. I also appreciate the fact that this is a small, compact product that doesn't take a whole lot of space in the kitchen. I have limited kitchen space, and this stores easily. I would definitely recommend the Soft Pretzel Factory from Nostalgia Electrics. This would make a fantastic gift for the snacker or beer lovers in your life this Holiday season! HOW TO CONNECT: You can check out this and other awesome products on the Nostalgia Electrics website. You can purchase Nostalgia Electrics products on Amazon as well as at fine retailers online and near you! You can also follow Nostalgia Electrics on Facebook and on twitter to stay on top of their latest products and promotions!
