While this blaster is designed for kids ages 8+, we allowed our 5 and 6 year olds to play with it, with close adult supervision, of course. While it's a larger blaster, even my very little Xander was able to handle and shoot it with no problems. 

Sophie and Xander had an all out battle in the yard while their Daddy was cleaning up the leaves. Sophie threw armfuls of leaves at Xander, and Xander then tried to shoot the leaves with the LEGENDFIRE Powershot Blaster! (No, we do not allow him to actually shoot his sister, for obvious reasons.) 

This toy is loads of fun, and fires very quickly. Simply pump the blaster, and it fires a dart. These shoot VERY far, up to 80 feet, so this would be fun with targets placed around the yard at various intervals. It's also surprisingly accurate for a toy, and can help improve hand-eye coordination and aim. 

Overall, my kids are totally psyched about their LEGENDFIRE Powershot Blaster from Dart Zone. This toy is fun and easy to operate, and definitely allows kids to get their excess energy out. It's also safe, non-lethal, and a great way to improve aim and coordination.
