Do you have older kids or teens to shop for? If so, I feel your pain. In addition to my easy to please preschoolers, I also have a 13 year old son who is in the 8th grade and is VERY particular about what he likes. Unfortunately, his list of likes changes often....One minute he loves something, and a week or so later, "That's totally lame, Mom". (I always seem to miss the memo!)
One thing my son has continued to enjoy, even though he would never admit it in public, is crafts. He is incredibly artistic, and loves creating things. His latest obsession? Bracelets. He and all of his friends wear a ton of funky, colorful bracelets. The more unique, the better.
So when I discovered the awesome craft kids from BENDASTIX, I knew Kyle would enjoy them.
BENDASTIX are made from a highly flexible, shapeable plastic. These kits come with everything needed to make everything from robots and bicycles to glasses, bracelets, headbands, and bows. Yep. These babies are versatile. Oh, did I mention they're also totally reusable? No glue, staples, or any other adhesives are necessary. When you'd like to make something new, just bend them into place!

Our Opinion :
We received 3 great BENDASTIX kits to review: Bowz, Braceletz, and Bandz. Each kit comes with everything you need to make some funky, trendy accessories. These would be great group crafts for circles of friends or even a Girl Scout's meeting!
Kyle decided that he was going to make bracelets for all of his friends. I even convinced him to make one for his little sister. He had a great time customizing these accessories. The possibilities are truly endless, and I love the fact that they encourage creativity. There are no "real" instructional diagrams, so kids can make whatever they'd like with no worries that they've done it "wrong". Here are just a few of the bracelets he made for his school friends. I think he did a great job, and I know his pals will be very pleased!
You may be wondering how the Braceletz, Bowz, and Bandz held up while being worn? Well, surprisingly, these stayed on very well. They kind of hook together, which makes a very effective and secure closure.
Overall, we're definitely digging BENDASTIX. They're fun, colorful, and allow kids to design their own unique creations. And yes, I do like the fact that they're not only a one time use product. Kids can build for hours with these fun kits! I'd definitely recommend checking them out while you're doing your Holiday shopping!
