Holiday Gift Guide: Planes Fire & Rescue Puzzles By Ravensburger Puzzles Plus GIVEAWAY 9/309/16/2014 ***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples to facilitate my review. No other compensation has been provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** It's that time of year, everyone! The Holiday shopping season is upon us! (At least it is if you're like me and get an early start to avoid the mad rush of frazzled, last-minute shoppers in December!) For the 2014 Holiday season, I will be featuring tons of great gift ideas for babies, kids, men, women, pets, and even for the person who has everything. We all have some of those on our gift lists, don't we? There will even be loads and loads of chances to win many of the gifts I am featuring. How cool is that?! You can check out my 2014 Holiday Gift Guide at any time from now till Christmas. Make sure to check often, as it will be growing by the day! The first gift idea I will be sharing this year is for the kids. Do your little ones love everything Disney like mine do? We watch Disney movies almost daily in our home. Aside from Frozen, which I have now seen about 5,239,693 times and counting, another family favorite is Planes: Fire & Rescue. This cute film, which came out this past July, is an action-packed film that the entire family is sure to love. The folks at Ravensburger Puzzles have a wonderful line of high-quality, beautifully designed Planes: Fire & Rescue puzzles for kids (or grown-ups) of all ages. Many of their puzzles also come with several different puzzles to a box! This is great for those hard-core puzzle lovers out there. Talk about value! Recently, we received the Real Rescue Planes puzzle set to check out for ourselves. This contains 3 49 piece puzzles, each featuring a different character from the film. These puzzles are geared towards kids ages 5+, but my 3 and 4 year olds were able to complete them with just a wee bit of adult guidance. When our puzzles arrived, Sophie and Xander were both quite excited. We love completing puzzles in our home, and even have a special puzzle mat to do them on. Pretty fancy, if I do say so myself! Sophie, Xander, and Daddy all got together on the floor and started putting these puzzles together. The pieces are well-cut, and don't have any jagged or flimsy edges. Oh, and you can easily tell each of the puzzles apart because the backs have 3 different patterns on them. This makes it easy to separate them into the proper piles. Dan, my husband, showed Sophie and Xander how to make completing puzzles easier. He taught them how to identify edge pieces, and how to look at the box to reference where in the puzzle a certain piece may go. After about an hour and a half, they had all 3 puzzles put together. (It took so long because we were allowing Sophie and Xander to do most of the work.) Boy, were my little ones proud once they had all of the puzzles put together! They had so much fun, they decided to take them all apart and start over again! Overall, we definitely love our Real Rescue Planes puzzles from Ravensburger Puzzles. These are wonderfully made, and feature the fun Planes characters my children know and love. Plus, these puzzles help my children work together as a team as well as build critical thinking skills. If your kids love puzzles, I would definitely recommend giving Ravensburger a closer look as you do your Holiday shopping. They offer tons and tons of puzzles with varying skill levels, so you're bound to find something for even the most seasoned puzzle lover on your list! How to connect : You can check out this and other gorgeous puzzles on the Ravensburger Puzzles website. You can also connect with them on Facebook and on twitter to stay on top of their latest products and promotions! Enter to win : I am thrilled to announce that one lucky winner will receive a PLANES Fire & Rescue Puzzle of their own from the generous folks at Ravensburger! This would make a great Holiday gift!
