(At least it is if you're like me and get an early start to avoid the mad rush of frazzled, last-minute shoppers in December!) For the 2014 Holiday season, I will be featuring tons of great gift ideas for babies, kids, men, women, pets, and even for the person who has everything. We all have some of those on our gift lists, don't we? There will even be loads and loads of chances to win many of the gifts I am featuring. How cool is that?! You can check out my 2014 Holiday Gift Guide at any time from now till Christmas. Make sure to check often, as it will be growing by the day! Today, I would love to introduce you to something that includes what we like to call "The 3 S's". It's soft, snuggly, and soothing. When you have 2 kids under the age of 5 in the home, these attributes are super-important, in my humble opinion. Especially when little ones get tired and cranky. In our house, the cranky one is usually our youngest son, Xander. When he decides he's unhappy, we usually look for ways to soothe him quickly. He's like the Incredible Hulk...He gets pretty scary when he's angry and exhausted! Melody Mates have come in very handy at nap time or bedtime. Or story time. Or TV time. Or really anytime....These plush pillow and blanket sets are adorned with cheerful characters kids love, and they offer plenty of soothing for tired kids. They come in several fun varieties such as the Monkey, seen below, a froggy friend, a penguin, and even a cow, just to name a few. Each Melody Mates set comes with a fun and friendly pillow, as well as a velvety soft throw blanket that's the perfect size for kids to wrap themselves up in. Seriously, this blanket is ridiculously soft. I wish it were bigger so that I could sleep with it at night. Not even kidding. The really cool part? This blanket rolls up and can be "held" by the monkey. Yep. All in one, folks! This definitely makes Melody Mates ideal for sleepovers or overnight trips to Grandma's house! But the real magic of Melody Mates is in the pillow itself. You see, this pillow lights up with soft, LED lights, and also plays soothing lullabies! Pretty cool, if I do say so myself! This pillow does take AA batteries, which are not included. So be sure to pick up some "juice" so your little ones can experience the full effects of Melody Mates on Christmas morning! Overall, we are definitely loving our Melody Mates Monkey. Not only is he absolutely adorable, or as my kids would say, "totes adorbs", he is also incredibly soft and snuggly. My kids love nothing more than curling up with this kids' pillow and blanket set and watching a movie, reading a book, or playing games on their tablets. And yes, of course Bruno the Monkey goes with Xander to bed, too. (Yes, we named him Bruno. Don't hate!) And if the kids have a little TOO much fun with their Melody Mates pillow, and something accidentally gets spilled on him, this cute little guy is easy to clean. It's machine washable! Okay, well the zip-off cover is. You won't want to wash the inner portion of the pillow, since that's where the batteries and lights are housed. So if you're looking for a fun yet comforting gift for the little ones in your life, I would definitely recommend checking out Melody Mates. These friendly characters are ready for some snuggles, and the lights and soft lullabies will help even the most stubborn of kids drift off into a peaceful slumber. How to Connect :You can check out the awesomeness that is Melody Mates on their website.
