***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples to facilitate my review. All opinions are 100% honest, and have not been influenced in any way.*** It's that time of year, everyone! The Holiday shopping season is upon us! (At least it is if you're like me and get an early start to avoid the mad rush of frazzled, last-minute shoppers in December!) For the 2014 Holiday season, I will be featuring tons of great gift ideas for babies, kids, men, women, pets, and even for the person who has everything. We all have some of those on our gift lists, don't we? There will even be loads and loads of chances to win many of the gifts I am featuring. How cool is that?! You can check out my 2014 Holiday Gift Guide at any time from now till Christmas. Make sure to check often, as it will be growing by the day! Today, I have a great addition for all of those "beauty junkies" like me. Or for anyone who might be suffering from thinning hair. Thinning of the hair can happen for several reasons, including pregnancy, heat styling, the regular use of hair color and relaxers, and even just the aging process. I happen to have very thick, long, wavy hair. (This actually is a pain in the butt. I can't ever get my hair to DO anything!) Anyway, while my hair is still pretty darn thick, I did notice that after having back-to-back pregnancies a few years ago, a little bit of thinning did occur. Probably due to the fact that my hormones were going completely haywire for so long! Anyway, my hair did bounce back eventually, but not completely. It did seem like some of the fullness and body in my hair had been lost. So when I first heard about the Hinoki Oil System for thinning hair, I was definitely interested. This line includes 4 products, which are designed to be used together. These are meant to be used long-term, and with every wash of the hair. With regular use, the Hinoki Oil System promotes hair volume, strength, and a healthy scalp. By the way, a healthy scalp produces more hair! Please keep in mind, this product simply promotes hair and scalp health. It will not repair split ends, etc. Nor is it designed to cure or treat any conditions or diseases. If you have specific concerns, please consult your physician and/or stylist before using. Men and women, with any hair texture (curly, straight, thick, or fine), suffering from thinning hair, hair loss, slow-to-grow hair, or dandruff, will all benefit from using System Hinoki products on a regular basis. That's right! This can be used on ALL hair types! WHAT’S IN IT: The key ingredient in the System Hinoki products is Pure Hinoki Oil, or “Chamaecyparis Obtusa Oil.” This is a unique ingredient, known for its natural antifungal and antibacterial qualities, is not found in many haircare products today, however it has been used for over 2,000 years in Japan and other parts of Asia to treat different types of skin ailments. The shampoo and conditioner also include Retinyl Palmitate, a form of Vitamin A and one of the primary antioxidants found naturally in skin; it is FDA approved and used to stimulate cell renewal and enhance skin elasticity. Unlike many other products marketed to hair growth, System Hinoki is drug free so safe to use for long-term results! HOW TO USE THE HINOKI OIL SYSTEM : This awesome system contains 4 different products:
This system is very simple to use. You simply wash and rinse as you normally would, using the System Hinoki Shampoo and Conditioner. (They have a nice, almost herbal scent that I LOVE, too!) Most people won't have any reaction to these products, but if itching is experienced, cut back use from every time you wash to every third wash. After you've washed and conditioned, it's time to use the Hinoki Plus. This should be applied to damp hair, directly at the scalp. Separating the hair with your fingers or a comb make this easy as pie. After that, it's time for the last step: Adding the Hair Thickener to the mix! Just squirt a generous blob of product into the palm of your hand and work it into the hair, from the roots to the ends. That's it! Now you're ready to style as you normally would. I have been using System Hinoki for 3 months now, and I am pleased to say that I have noticed some pretty promising results. My hair does seem to be bouncier and have more volume. I can't say that I have any added hair growth, but thanks to the awesomeness that is Pure Hinoki Oil, my scalp is in much better condition to grow hair to its full potential. It's strange...My scalp literally feels different to the touch. It's not nearly as dry as it normally would be, especially this time of year. I do have to say, I had to seriously, seriously ration the product to make it last the full 3 months. I mean, I was S-T-I-N-G-Y with it. Maybe it's just because my hair is very long and there's a lot of it, but one bottle of each product is definitely not sufficient for my hair over a 3 month period. I am wondering how my results might have been different if I had been using more product on my hair. Guess I will have to order some more to see! Overall, I am pretty pleased with my System Hinoki experience. My hair is definitely very soft, very bouncy, and almost weightless. It really does look and feel wonderful, which is saying a lot for my wavy, often unmanageable mane! If you're looking for a great way to make your hair look fuller and more "alive", or you're just looking for a good system to promote overall hair and scalp health, definitely check out the Hinoki Oil System. You might be pleasantly surprised like I was! How to Connect : You can check out the Hinoki Oil System on the Hayashi website. These specialty products are available at select salons, as well as online. Please note: In addition to this system, Hayashi also offers other products for varying hair needs. For example, The Repair Zone should be used by those with very curly or kinky hair, who could use some added moisture. System 911 should be used by those in need of added proteins, who suffer from damaged hair due to styling and heat from relaxers, blow-drying, or using a flat iron. You can also check out the System Hinoki Facebook page! Enter to WIN : I am thrilled to announce that one lucky reader will receive a the Hinoki Oil System to try out for themselves! I saw this and hoped it was a give away. My hair is so thin I can't stand it. I haven't had any large patches fall out recently. At least not that I can see. I have to try this!

Actually, I was just offered a giveaway by the brand! So keep your eyes open...I should have it up today if my kids behave, or tomorrow sometime. It will be for the complete system, as seen in my review.

Forgive my spelling. I have alopecia arete. I lose patches of hair from time to time. It grows back but it's much thinner and usually comes in white.

Along with thin hair, my hair is very wavy and tangles easily. I am trying several different products to find one that I can wet comb through.

My hair is starting to thin out in the front were the bangs should be. It is very noticeable and is very embarrassing.

I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving day! My hair, well, if it were thick it would be nice. It tangles easily to where I can't comb through it. Sometimes I just cut the knots out.

I need a product that will strengthen my hair and make it easy to wet comb through. If my hair looks thicker, that's a plus. I don't color or use heat on it at all.

Sadly, it is the fact that I have thinning hair. Was hoping I wouldn't get the family jeans with this, but I have and in the past couple of years it has really thinned out.

I would be happy to have the hair that I had years ago. I try to take vitamins and never use heat on my hair. I need to find a good deep conditioner to use weekly.

My hair gets oily quicker than it used to. I wonder if that has to do with my hair thinning.

I guess women and men both suffer from thinning hair as they age. That must be why old ladies wear those crazy looking perms, to make their hair look thicker.

My hair, even though it's trimmed on a regular basis tends to tangle a lot. So much so that I have to cut the knots out. It;s so thin, I wish I could go to one of those hair clubs for a transplant.

My hair has always been thin, but now that I am getting older, it just keeps getting thinner, I have to keep it in a ponytail because there's not much I can do with it.

I am entering this contest more so for my mother than myself. She is getting up in age and her hair has been thinning out over the years. Her hairline is almost nonexistent and I can see her scalp at times depending on the hair style she wears. This would be an awesome gift to win for her! Thanks!
