(At least it is if you're like me and get an early start to avoid the mad rush of frazzled, last-minute shoppers in December!) For the 2014 Holiday season, I will be featuring tons of great gift ideas for babies, kids, men, women, pets, and even for the person who has everything. We all have some of those on our gift lists, don't we? There will even be loads and loads of chances to win many of the gifts I am featuring. How cool is that?! You can check out my 2014 Holiday Gift Guide at any time from now till Christmas. Make sure to check often, as it will be growing by the day! With all the fall and winter holidays approaching, a lot of us are already dreaming of pumpkin pies, sweet potato casserole, creamy mashed potatoes, stuffing, and more. Of course while those things help make the Holiday season special, they're also not overly kind to the waistline. I don't know about you, but I definitely don't want to gain any weight this winter. It's bad enough that I will probably try to leave the house as little as possible, if this winter is anything like last year. -40 F wind chills? No thanks! I simply can't survive in that kind of cold. Shoot, I bundle up like an Eskimo when it's in the 40's! So I have a plan. I am going to actually USE the treadmill that's currently acting as a costume rack, and I am going to closely watch what I eat. I am hoping that moving more and eating less will not only help me avoid winter weight gain, but also allow me to finally firm up my many wobbly bits. That also means weighing myself weekly to make sure I stay on track. Luckily, I have the coolest bathroom scale to help me keep from packing on that winter weight: The EatSmart Precision MaxView Digital Bathroom Scale. No. Really. This scale is pretty darn cool. Why Choose the Precision Maxview digital bathroom scale? Whether you are looking to gain or lose, this high-tech gadget is an essential tool in weight management. What makes the Precision MaxView different from other bathroom scales is the EXTRA LARGE DISPLAY--ONE OF THE LARGEST --IF NOT THE LARGEST available in the US market. The oversized, well lit display makes it easy to see your weight, with our without your glasses. Innovative features include: · [2014 VERSION] - Utilizes Our Step-On Technology and Sensor Accuracy--get instant readings! · EXTRA LARGE 4.5" LCD display w/ Accubright blue backlight - Easy to read in any light environment--One of the biggest on the market! · 4 High Precision EatSmart Sensors - Consistent and accurate measurement up to 400 lbs or 180 kgs every time · Ultra thin, sleek design with high quality tempered glass platform · FREE EatSmart Body Tape Measure now included - Another great tool to monitor progress! · Auto Calibrated; Auto Power-Off; Runs on 2 AAA batteries (included); EatSmart 2 year warranty Our review of the Precision MaxView Digital bathroom scale : When I received my EatSmart Precision MaxView Digital Bathroom Scale, the first thing I noticed was how modern and sleek it is. This scale is very, very thin, and has an almost futuristic design. Seriously, this looks like something from The Jetson's episodes I used to watch as a child. While this scale is super-thin, it's also quite strong. The tempered glass can support up to 400lbs, and it will not crack under normal usage. Say goodbye to those bulky, clunky old scales! Another very cool feature is that this scale gives automatic readings. There's nothing to tap to turn on the scale. (That can be REALLY annoying!) With the Precision MaxView, all you need to do is step on the scale, and viola! There's your weight. Easy, peasy! The scale is operated by 2 AAA batteries, which happen to be included in the box. There's also an easy button that switches from pounds to kilograms located on the back of the scale. But the thing I love the most about the Precision MaxView is the HUGE, bright display! There's no squinting or re-reading necessary, since the display is a whopping 4.5". Your weight will be on crystal clear display, and will be visible to anyone in the room. So, you might want to weigh yourself alone. That's what I do, at least! My family doesn't need to know everything about me, after all. My weight is something I will keep under wraps. Overall, I am really loving this scale. It's easy to use, for the whole family. As you can see above, my 4 year old was able to weigh herself with no problems at all. (Yes, I know at 33lbs, she is tiny. You should see how small Xander is!) This scale is also a great option for seniors or those with poor eyesight. The large, bright display will allow them to see without having to put on their glasses or contacts! Add to that the sleek, modern design and the strength of the scale, and you've got the perfect addition to any household. So if you're trying to keep off those winter pounds like me, or you have a fitness buff in your life, I'd definitely recommend checking out the EatSmart Precision MaxView Digital Bathroom Scale!
