It's that time of year, everyone! The Holiday shopping season is upon us! (At least it is if you're like me and get an early start to avoid the mad rush of frazzled, last-minute shoppers in December!)
For the 2014 Holiday season, I will be featuring tons of great gift ideas for babies, kids, men, women, pets, and even for the person who has everything. We all have some of those on our gift lists, don't we? There will even be loads and loads of chances to win many of the gifts I am featuring. How cool is that?! You can check out my 2014 Holiday Gift Guide at any time from now till Christmas. Make sure to check often, as it will be growing by the day!
Today, I want to talk about sunglasses. Yes, sunglasses. I do realize it's winter time, and many people don't associate sunglasses with this time of year. However, protecting your little ones' eyes from harmful UV rays is super-important all year long. Here in Ohio, I actually have the kids wear sunglasses and sunblock when playing in the snow. Yes, you can get sunburn in the snow. We learned this the hard way, and now we take precautions.
When choosing sunglasses for children, there are several things I look for. Of course first, they HAVE to be cute. Yes, I hate to admit it, but looks do matter. They also have to be durable....Very, very durable. My kids tend to be a bit on the destructive side, so flimsy eye-wear would be destroyed in about 5 seconds flat. True story.
Luckily, I discovered Babiators a couple of years ago. This wonderful brand makes a wide variety of almost bullet-proof sunglasses for babies as well as kids! They come in some really fun colors for boys and girls alike, and you can also choose polarized styles! Babiators also makes some really adorable mini-backpacks called Rocket Packs and even some submariner goggles, which would be great for summer!
Recently, Babiators launched a limited edition line of Holiday sunglasses. These come in festive, Holiday colors like red, green, white and blue. We received a couple of pairs to check out for ourselves, along with a couple of fun Rocket Packs!
Sophie and Xander were super-excited when they saw their new Babiators gear. Sophie immediately claimed the red glasses, and Xander was quite happy to accept the green ones. Thank goodness they were so easy to please. I was ready for an epic battle!
One thing I absolutely love about these Babiators sunglasses is that they're so durable that even if the kids decided to try and play Tug-O-War with them, chances are, they would remain intact. These can really take a beating, folks. They can be bent, sat on, and even twisted somewhat, and they do not break. They are hands-down the most durable kids' eyewear I have ever seen!
Babiators Rocket Packs are equally amazeballs. These backpacks are also quite durable, and are very well-made. They come in a few colors, so you're sure to find something to suit your little ones' style.
Rocket Packs are designed especially for smaller children. As you can see, they look a lot like higher-quality adult backpacks, only smaller. This heavy-duty, military grade material is made for the use and abuse of active kids. There are also loads of compartments for kids to store their gear and most treasured objects.
We're definitely loving our latest Babiators products. The quality is absolutely fantastic, and the kids love showing off their glasses and rocket packs to anyone who will listen! I love the fact that these products are made to last and last. Oh, and if your kids are a bit....forgetful....Babiators will offers a lost and found guarantee. That's right. If they get lost or broken, they will be replaced. It just doesn't get much sweeter than that!
So if you have active kiddos like mine, definitely check out the amazing kids' gear from Babiators. Your kids will definitely be thrilled!
