Have you heard of Scandinavian Child before? This is a wonderful family of brands that offers modern, innovative children's products like the drool-worthy Svan Highchairs, snuggly baby-wearing accessories from líllébaby, and of course, great feeding products like the Beaba Babycook, just to name a few that are on my own personal wish-list. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Scandinavian Child Int'l (SCI) is the North American owner and exclusive distributor of extraordinary children products that meet the highest style, function and safety standards of discriminating parents, including Svan, lillebaby, and Béaba brands. These brands are all committed to providing excellence in all they do, and have adopted the "Childhood Without Compromise" promise to their customers. The "Childhood Without Compromise" philosophy means every product Scandinavian Child represents must meet this demanding criteria: Style - Timeless designs that blend with home décor or match parents' sense of personal style. Safety - Safety-driven designs that meet or exceed both mandatory and voluntary safety standards for juvenile products. Usefulness - Products that serve over the long term. Eco-friendly - Environmentally conscious designs that emphasize sustainable raw materials, lead-free finishes, Phthalate-free plastics, PBDE-free cushions, low-VOC paint, and formaldehyde-free plywood. Superior Quality and Service - Long-term warranties and exceptional customer service assure customers that they can expect a high-quality product with a matching level of support. The Brands: líllébaby: líllébaby uses Norwegian design and simplicity to bring the ultimate in comfort and style to American families. The Norwegians appreciate natural beauty as well as quality, so these baby carriers are truly at the top of their class. There are several options to choose from, including an Organic version for those eco-friendly families out there! Svan: Svan is a brand I have been drooling over for quite some time now...Years, to be exact. This Scandinavian line offers amazing aesthetics paired with wonderful safety features. I especially love the look of their high chairs, since they are so sleek and modern looking, but are designed specifically with baby's proper development in mind. Their products look like high-end furniture, and blend into any decor seamlessly. Who says high chairs need to be bulky, plastic eye-sores? One day, I will own Svans for my babies. These great highchairs are quite high up on my wish-list, and would look amazing in my new home since they'd complement all of the original hardwood we have here. Beaba: Last but certainly not least, there's Beaba. This French company focuses on feeding products that are ergonomically designed for little eaters, ensuring ease of use. Not to mention, they're vibrantly colored and just plain fun! Beaba offers a wide variety of feeding products from children's utensils and plates, to lunchboxes and even baby food makers that are sure to be Mom's best friend in the kitchen. Beaba 360 Spoon : ![]() Recently, I got the opportunity to try an innovative new product from the Beaba line. The 360 Spoon is specifically designed for self-feeders, especially those just beginning their journey into independent eating. The 360 Spoon has an innovative rotating handle that ensures the spoon stays horizontal, preventing spills from occurring when spoon is held incorrectly. (And let's face it: Little people often hold their spoons wrong!) The rotating handle can be locked into place for use by older children or to help with the transition to a traditional spoon. I actually use the lock as more of a "kick-stand" so to speak, as it allows the spoon to securely rest upright. The 360 Spoon comes in 3 different color schemes, so you can order accordingly. My toddlers love the vibrant colors, and actually ask for this spoon! The 360 Spoon is versatile. It's nice because I can lock the spoon into a more traditional spoon for Sophie, my older toddler, and I can have the swivel feature for Xander, who is still learning how to control his utensils. This spoon is designed for little hands, and is very comfortable for a child to grip and control. My toddlers have had no problem adjusting to their 360 Spoon, and they can maneuver it with ease. The spoon also has very good depth. Unlike a lot of our traditional spoons which are shallow and cause spills, the 360 Spoon has a deeper well that will hold cereal and veggies without the frustration of them falling off. This feature has spared me many a child-meltdown! The Beaba 360 Spoon is also BPA and pthalate-free, making it completely safe for kids to use. It is also dishwasher safe, although you do want to disassemble the spoon before washing for optimum cleaning. I would definitely recommend the Beaba 360 Spoon for anyone out there with babies or toddlers. Yes, this spoon is a bit more expensive than traditional baby spoons at $10, but it will grow with your child and help them learn confidence and coordination as they become more and more independent. Buy It : You can check out Beaba, Svan, and líllébaby on the Scandinavian Child website. Check out the handy retail locators for the brands to find these products both online and near you! You can also connect with them on Facebook and on twitter to stay on top of their latest products and promotions! Also, be sure to check out Beaba on Facebook! Win It ! I am thrilled to announce that a lucky reader will receive a Beaba 360 Spoon of their own! How cool is that?!
