Trick-Or-Treating, dressing up in their "Spook-Day best", and heading on over to the riverfront for our local Halloween festival are all on our itinerary this year. Sophie and Xander are finally old enough to really enjoy it, so this year is bound to be more fun than ever! We're being incredibly cheesy this year and will be dressing up in a theme. Sophie and I will be witches, Dan and Kyle will be wizards, and poor little Xander will be a frog....I guess we turned him into one for being naughty! Of course, we will be dressing the pets up, too. Well, not the cats. They are not too keen on the idea of wearing anything, and I don't want to deal with angry kitties. That never ends well. So Halloween costumes will be reserved for the pups. They're a wee bit more tolerant! Trouble and Bear are going to be frogs like Xander. Snickers, our Lab/Shepard mix, is going to go as a with along with me and my Sophie. PetSmart has an awesome assortment of pet costumes, and we were delighted to receive this Martha Stewart Pets Witch Costume to check out for ourselves. Isn't it adorable? I love the bright, almost metallic purple in the "top" and the frilly tulle in the skirt. It did also come with a hat, but Snickers absolutely refuses to wear it. In fact, when we put it on her, she immediately knocked it off and proceeded to eat it.Hey, you can't win them all, I guess! Now I have learned the hard way that choosing the right size for pet costumes is very tricky at times. Snickers is NOT a big dog. In fact, she is the absolute smallest Shepard I have ever seen. But a size Large fits her perfectly. This costume is secured with very durable velcro closures, and seems to be very comfortable for pups to wear. Here is Snickers with Sophie and Daddy, all ready for Halloween! Sophie was quite unhappy about putting on her costume when she knew there would be no trick-or-treating yet, so she doesn't have the happiest of expressions here! Overall, I couldn't be any more thrilled with our Halloween costumes from PetSmart. They're trendy, easy to dress our dogs in and very easy to clean. The dogs seemed quite comfortable in them, too! I think we just may need to take them out trick-or-treating with us in the neighborhood this year. Maybe having our pups all dressed up for the festivities will score my kids a little extra candy! Who knows, maybe a nice neighbor will even have special doggy treats to hand out! I would definitely recommend PetSmart for all of your pet needs, whether they be for Holidays or just everyday. PetSmart gives pet owners the opportunity to pamper and spoil their four legged friends with only the best products, all at a great value. They even have a great loyalty program to help save you money! Also be sure to check out one of their many adoption events to help give a rescued pet another chance at life. How to Connect :
