We have a zoo. Okay, not literally...But we do have both cats and dogs. (Makes for very eventful and amusing times!) Our pups are Bear, a Shih-Tzu, Snickers, a Lab-Shepard mix, and Trouble, my Yorkie.

When it comes to food and dog chews, Snickers and Bear are not at all picky. They will both devour anything you give them. Trouble on the other hand is a bit of a diva, and is very, very picky. She will turn her nose up in a second if you don't offer her the exact right thing. (It gets a bit tiresome, but she's a typical, snooty Yorkie, and I adore her anyway.)

Recently, I got the opportunity to try Pork Chomps.Pork Chomps are vet approved dog treats that just happen to be the safest and healthiest dog chew available for your pups. A recent university study proved that Pork Chomps are much easier to digest than rawhide, dissolving up to twice as fast in a dog’s digestive enzymes. (Check out the study here.)

I was sent a very generous variety of their products for my pups to sample. Of course Bear and Snickers went nuts immediately over these rawhide-free dog chews. I was expecting that. But what I was surprised to find was that my ultra-picky Trouble liked them, too!

Trouble's favorite seemed to be the Pork Chomps Twist in Bacon. I was very impressed by how well these held up to constant gnawing and chewing. Many of the other twists we have tried in the past simply fell apart within minutes. Pork Chomps Twists allowed Trouble, Bear and Snickers several hours of chewing pleasure. (And kept them from chewing things they shouldn't like shoes or the kids' toys!)

My pups also enjoyed the Premium Pork Chomp varieties. These come in several different types, but the Twists and the Baked Pork Knots seemed to be the biggest hits in our home. I think that all of my dogs loved the addition of sweet potato to their chews. I never would have thought they'd enjoy sweet potatoes, but boy, was I wrong! Again, these chews held up very well and last quite a long time.

Overall, I am absolutely delighted with my dogs' response to Pork Chomps products. All 3 of them really love them, and since they come in different sizes, my little dogs can indulge just like our big dog. I love the fact that these are rawhide-free and super-easy to digest as well. When my dogs' tummies are happy, I am a happier pet owner. And I am sure anyone who has had to clean up after a sick dog knows how awful it can be. I would definitely recommend Pork Chomps to anyone pet lovers out their who want to offer their canine companions a wholesome, healthy, safe alternative to rawhide chews. Well it makes me smile that at least our little granddoggy yorkie Buxton is healing now and acting healthy and playful and happy again, especially after he recently tried to be a little hero and attacked gunmen that broke into my daughters home and they beat him and threw him out of a moving car, and he was missing for over a day it was very heartbreaking but we visited him and brought him get well gifts the other day and it did make me smile to see him healing so well and acting so great, our daughter takes extra tlc of him.

Our granddoggy yorkie Buxton makes us laugh when we give him a treat or a bit of 'people' food or something and wants it, but wants it for later, so he tries to 'bury' it under a throw pillow or in the couch cushions and if he sees you watching him, he sighs in frustration and then takes it and tries to find a different place because I guess he thinks we will take his treat and eat it lol

We think it's funny when we visit our daughter and her yorkie Buxton when this tiny 12 lb dog instigates and purposely tries to annoy her roommates BIG muscular pitbulls and contrary to stereotypes the pitbulls roll over on the floor and submissively show Buxton their belly like a couple of cute teddy bears. so cute. They probably know they could turn him into a hairy little snack but they LET him be the boss, how sweet is that?! awww : )

My dog cries until I feed her - but once I get her dog food prepared and sit in front of her... she won't eat until I give her - her daily attention (Scratch behind the ears, stuff that nature). I have 2 Cattle Dogs that make me laugh and smile daily. If you know this breed and how active they are you can understand why. I have one that is food driven like crazy, he comes up to me and barks I love you's until I give in. My other one is toy driven and literally sleeps and walks with a ball at all times. The toy driven one always drops the ball at my feet so I will kick it then she gets it brings it back and we start all over several times a day. You can't help but smile at her and say don't you ever get tired enough already.

Our dog Marley is a yellow lab that loves to play fetch.
When you throw his ball he immediately goes and gets it and brings it back to you. But instead of giving it up he prances around you like a horse for a few minutes before calmly lying it in your hand.
