Hamilton Beach-Senseo Stay Or Go Coffee Machine Review And #GIVEAWAY 9/25

I am not a big coffee drinker. If I happen to have a cup of coffee, I generally stop at one cup. Brewing a whole pot just doesn't make sense, since most of it will just go to waste. The only time I have ever had more than one cup of coffee in a day was while visiting Canada. They have an awesome coffee shop, almost on every corner it seems, and their coffee is just plain addictive. However, this gem of a coffee shop isn't in Virginia, so I have gone back to my non-coffee drinking ways and will enjoy a cup rarely, and usually only if I am in need of a pick me up to start my day.

However, my husband is a very enthusiastic coffee drinker. He loves coffee, and was drinking a whole entire pot in a day at one point. He probably still would if he had the time to. He recently got promoted and switched locations with his job and has to get up and head to work very early in the morning. So he likes to brew some coffee and take it with him on the road in a travel mug rather than sit and drink cup after cup before leaving the house for the day.

That's why I was so excited to get the opportunity to review the Hamilton Beach-Senseo Stay Or Go Personal Cup Pod Coffeemaker! I have actually wanted to purchase a personal brewer for awhile now so I could enjoy the occasional cup of coffee without having to make a whole pot at a time. This is also great for my husband who can make his morning coffee on the run. With the Hamilton Beach-Senseo Stay Or Go, we can have fresh coffee whenever the mood strikes and reduce waste at the same time.

The Stay Or Go uses Senseo Pods, which are capable of making up to 14oz. of coffee at a time, in less than 5 minutes. The really cool part? The coffee brews directly into a standard coffee cup or travel mug! This makes the Stay Or Go super convenient, since there are no bulky coffee pots to deal with. Simply place the Senseo Pod into the removable, dishwasher safe brew basket, add water to the unit, and wait for the perfect cup of fresh, delicious coffee! It just doesn't get any easier than that!

MY OPINION:
Overall, we love the Hamilton Beach-Senseo Stay Or Go Personal Cup Pod Coffeemaker. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and makes grabbing a quick cup of coffee an absolute breeze. It's perfect for me, since I don't often drink coffee. I can make one single cup in just a few minutes, and I don't have to worry about a mess to clean up or pots to dump out. My husband also loves this coffeemaker because it has helped to streamline his early morning routine. He gets a fresh, hot cup of coffee to take on the road with him, and since it brews so quickly, he doesn't have to wait around for it. This is a BIG plus, since my husband often presses the snooze button on our alarm clock one time too many and is often in a huge rush.

We also really liked the quality of the Senseo Coffee. These great little pods come in a wide variety of flavors that are sure to please even the most discriminating of java lovers. We received a bag of 18 Senseo Medium Roast Pods. This coffee had wonderful flavor without being too strong, and is perfectly balanced. The Medium Roast is ideal for everyday use, and is pretty much a good, universal coffee to keep on hand. It's sure to please everyone you serve it to. I especially liked it with some French Vanilla Creamer and a healthy dose of sugar!

My only complaint? The Senseo Pods don't seem to go very far. You need to use 1 pod for a single, standard sized coffee mug. It takes 2 pods to fill my husband's travel mug. Most of the Senseo varieties come in an 18 Pod package, and this just doesn't last very long. I have seen their Espresso Roast sold in a larger, more economical bulk size, but I am not a big Espresso drinker. I would love to see Senseo offer their other varieties in such packages.

Still, I would definitely recommend the Hamilton Beach-Senseo Stay Or Go Personal Cup Pod Coffeemaker to anyone who likes to enjoy a single cup of coffee at a time. I love the ease on convenience of this machine. I also love the quick and easy clean up! I also think this is the ideal coffeemaker for those who are in a rush in the morning and like taking their coffee with them as they head off to work. Since the coffee brews so quickly directly into your cup or travel mug, it definitely saves precious time while preparing for the day.
