I love the Holiday season here in NE Ohio. Something about my hometown just tugs at my heart...And I am so grateful to finally be back home after a couple of decades away. They say home is where the heart is, and I have to admit, nowhere else has ever felt like home to me. The fact that I get to raise my own children in the same place all of my fondest childhood memories were created? This fills me with so much joy and gratitude. There's something magical about my little mid-western suburb. Something that can't be put into words. I know know there's no place in the world I'd rather raise my family.

And once again, I actually get to see snowy winters, and quite often, a white Christmas. After spending about 20 years in Virginia, where snow was lacking, this is a wonderful treat. My kids will be able to build snowmen and snow forts, and go sledding down massive hills, just like I did when I was a young child. These are things I had missed so much when I was away. Experiencing and celebrating all four seasons, now with my children, is such a blessing.

Another thing I love about this time of year is being able to justify dressing my little ones up in their extra-special, fancy clothes. Otherwise known as their "Christmas clothes". I prefer decking my littles out in timeless, classic styles, like those found at OshKosh B'Gosh.

Recently, I was feeling the Holiday spirit, and I decided to head on down to OshKosh B'Gosh to pick up Sophie and Xander's Thanksgiving outfits. The store was bright, colorful, and well-stocked with the latest in cold-weather styles. I was asked by the associate not to take photographs in store, but you can get an idea of what their festive displays look like in last year's OshKosh B'Gosh shopping spree.

We ended up finding the perfect outfits for the kids. Sophie picked out a very cute and classic look, and Xander seemed to go for ultimate comfort and warmth paired with classic styling. (Smart kid. It's COLD here in Ohio!)

Sophie chose the oh-so-chic Sparkle Dot Dress, paired with the Shimmer Cable Knit Cardi. This is just Sophie's style, since she loves anything that has a little glitter and glitz to it.

The Sparkle Dot Dress is navy blue, with tiny, sparkly polka dots with shimmer thread throughout. It has a feminine bow on the right side of the waist, and a zip-up back. To me, this screams class. I could picture Audrey Hepburn wearing a number like this!

Of course the Shimmer Cable Knit Cardi is wonderful, too. This is one of those versatile pieces that can be worn with pretty dresses like this one, or paired with a cute tee, some skinny jeans and a pair of killer boots. That's one of the things I love most about OshKosh B'Gosh. Many of their pieces can be used to create a plethora of different looks.

In this smart little outfit, my Sophie is sure to be the talk of the Thanksgiving table!

Xander's Thanksgiving look is equally stylish. He chose the gorgeous Fair Isle Sweater. This sweater is super-soft, and can be worn on its own or paired with a collared shirt. You know, if you want to look extra-spiffy!

He will also be wearing the ultra-warm, Fleece Lined Jeans. These are a must have, in my opinion. Here in Ohio, it gets bitterly cold, and these warm jeans will surely keep my little Xander nice and toasty warm, even when we're outside looking at all of the neighborhood Christmas lights.

Since there were so many great items on sale at OshKosh B'Gosh, we decided to grab some cold weather accessories, too. It seems that one can never have too many hats and gloves. In my home, they tend to mysteriously disappear. (Which usually means someone stuck them under a piece of furniture or in a toy box.)

Sophie and Xander absolutely love their new hat and glove sets! Here they are, ready to go outside to play in our first substantial snow of the season!

Thanks to the wonderful quality of their hats and gloves, they stayed toasty and warm, even during a snowball fight against their Daddy. They didn't win, of course. Dan is too quick for them. But they sure did have tons of fun trying!
