After all, there is so much in life to be thankful for, and I like for my children to appreciate all the things that they've been blessed with in life. A home to grow up in that's paid for, a wonderful community to grow up in, family that loves them to pieces, and yes, all of their toys and gadgets. They told me I couldn't forget about those! Right now, and through the month of November, the folks at Teddy Tanks are helping to feed the hungry with their #TanksOfThanks program. For every tweet with the #TanksOfThanks hashtag, they will donate food to a food bank. If you'd like to help this cause, please tweet the following: Help @Telebrands feed up to 100 families in need this month by tweeting #TanksofThanks & they’ll donate to @foodbankSJ. RT! We received this adorable Silly Penguin Teddy Tank to check out for ourselves. How cute is he?! This is a very cool product, and is multi-functional. It can be used as a bank, a place to store toys or candy, and yes, it can even be used as a fish tank.
In addition to being grateful for what we already have, we also try and teach our kids to be giving. We used our Teddy Tank to hold various suckers. These can be earned each time our kids go out of their way to be kind or helpful to someone else. It can be neighbors, others in the community, friends, or even each other. They love doing kind things for others, and I love the fact that working for those suckers makes them better behaved in general. It's a win-win situation, for kids and mom alike!
