![]() I am a self-proclaimed beauty-junkie. I have more "girly" products than any one person probably has a right to. My husband jokes and says that we need to buy a much bigger house just to fit all of my cosmetics, perfumes, lotions and skincare products, and of course, my hair products. While he is definitely exaggerating, I have to say, he's got a point. My beauty products take up the space underneath not one, not two, but THREE sinks. They also fill 2 entire bookshelves, a linen closet, and have even overflowed to the tops of dressers. Yes, my name is Brandy, and I am a beauty addict. (Do they have a 12-Step Program for that?) In all seriousness, the reason I have oh-so-many beauty products is for one simple reason: One product does not fit all needs. Different seasons and occasions call for different products. For example, my skin is much drier in the winter than it is in the summer, so my entire skincare regime is different based on my skin's changing needs. I also use different make-up colors for different seasons. Just like you don't wear white after labor day, I won't wear deep, dark shades like wine and raisin during the summer. These are much more suited for fall, in my humble opinion. So while the season dictates what skincare and cosmetic products I use at any given time, the same goes for my hair. I have VERY long, very thick, wavy hair. During the summer, since it is naturally wavy, it tends to get a bit of frizz on ultra-humid days. In the winter, when I hide out indoors to avoid the bitter cold, my hair tends to become dry and almost brittle sometimes, most likely from the artificial, dry heat cranked out by our furnace. Unfortunately, that means I have had to acquire a vast arsenal of hair care products to keep my hair in optimal condition, no matter what time of year it is. I have various shampoos, conditioners, styling products, and leave-in treatments to tackle whatever hair woes I may be encountering. It can cause a great deal of clutter as well as frustration! That's why I was so excited to get the opportunity to review an innovative line of hair care products called It's A 10. It's A 10 was developed after years of research and trial and error by a team of experienced stylists. In a world where hair care has gotten confusing and cluttered, one brand offers a simple solution – literally. With It’s a 10 hair care products, you can enjoy exceptional results from a line of multipurpose products, all while reducing the number of products you need to keep on your shelf. Inspired by years of first-hand salon experience, each and every It’s a 10 product is formulated to deliver a combination of 10 benefits that used to take numerous products to achieve. Now, through their exclusive professional salon formulations, you can enjoy shine, moisture balance, and healthy movement with just one product. We call it the strength in simplicity and it will undoubtedly change the way you think about hair care. Yes, you read that right: It's A 10 products are multi-purpose and are perfect for any hair type, during any season. Reading all of the key benefits on each product made me seriously question why I have about a zillion hair care products in my home. They are also attractively packaged in a way that makes these products suitable for women and men to use. I know my husband won't go near anything in a frilly pink package. It's A 10 products come in sleek, modern blue containers that are not intimidating for hubby to try. I received a variety of products from It's A 10 to try for myself. Of course I was eager to see if these products live up to the hype, or if they were simply too good to be true? After all, each product does 10 things instantly, and suggests results that are immediately noticeable. While I was skeptical of such amazing claims, I was also excited. If these products were half as good as they look, I could get rid of so many products that are just taking up valuable space in my home. So of course, I dove right in and tried them all. Here are my results. ![]() Miracle Moisture Shampoo-Sulfate Free: Obviously, the first product I tried was the Miracle Moisture Shampoo. One thing I love about this shampoo is that is completely sulfate-free. Sulfates, while commonly used in many personal care products, have been linked to some rather serious health risks. More and more companies are now eliminating the use of sulfates due to high demand from consumers. I personally do not use products that contain these substances if I can help it, so I was happy to see that It's A 10 Miracle Moisture Shampoo is a "safe cosmetic" product. Another thing I really like is that this shampoo is fortified with 10 wonderfully nourishing, naturally derived ingredients that are designed to work together to not only clean the hair effectively with no build-up, but to leave it beautifully quenched, as well. Some of these ingredients are Vitamin C, Acai Extract, Ginger Extract, and Aloe Vera Extract, just to name a few. (You can view the others in the chart to the left.) I am a big fan of products that utilize natural ingredients, and this formulation offers some of the best things that nature has to offer. I have to say, I am very impressed by this product. I have used it several times now, and it leaves my hair squeaky clean and very hydrated. I also love the scent, which is herbal with a hint of something citrus-like in nature. My only complaint? While the shampoo lathers up quite nicely and is easy to distribute through the hair, I did find that I had to use a generous amount of product to wash my hair. This may just be because my hair is almost to my butt and I have a ton of it! Overall, I am totally loving the Miracle Moisture Shampoo. Unfortunately, I did not receive the conditioner to try them together for maximum results, but as a shampoo alone, this product rocks! ![]() Miracle Leave In Plus Keratin: I was SO excited to receive a leave-in treatment. Since it's winter, my hair is craving a little extra TLC. It probably doesn't help that I also color my hair, which can be damaging in itself. The Miracle Leave In Treatment Plus Keratin promises to be lightweight, increase manageability, and restore moisture and balance to tired, over-processed hair. I used this product right after shampooing with the Miracle Moisture Shampoo. It only took a small amount sprayed onto my hair while wet, and them combed through to evenly distribute the product from root to tip. This product also has a clean, pleasant scent and left no greasy feeling. As my hair dried, I noticed it was soft, shiny, and even the ends seemed to be in better condition. Just think of this as a tall glass of water in a desert on a 115 degree day. Yes, this stuff is that good. It definitely provided my hair with the moisture and nourishment it's been craving lately. This one definitely lives up to its name, as it is a miracle product in my book! ![]() Miracle Styling Cream: One of the great things about the Miracle Styling Cream is that it's formulated to work on any hair type, be it curly, straight, or in between. No need for type-specific products here! Another thing that makes this product amazing is the fact that it offers color protection for those of us who dye our hair, as well as thermal protection from heat styling. I don't heat style on a daily basis, but when I do, I always like to have an added barrier to protect my hair from heat damage. Flat irons can be especially brutal on the hair, as can curling irons and even a seemingly innocent blow-dryer! These styling tools, while life-savers, can sap the natural moisture from the hair and can even cause breakage and split ends. So it's nice to know that this product can help combat these issues. Another thing I love about the Miracle Styling Cream is that it seems to do everything....It makes hair shiny, eliminates the frizzies, and even helps tame split ends. On top of that, it offers great, flexible hold that remains touchably soft. A lot of styling creams can leave an oily, heavy feeling residue behind. With this product, that is no longer an issue. I must admit, I was a bit nervous about this one, as I have had bad experiences with other styling creams before. It's A 10 has made me a believer in the value of a high-quality styling cream now! ![]() Miracle Styling Mousse: I don't know about you, but I love mousse. Since I have naturally wavy hair to begin with, I love being able to get out of the shower and just apply some mousse to towel-dried hair and simply "scrunch" my hair as it air-dries. This gives me a great, almost curly look since it enhances the waves that are already there. It also adds a great deal of volume. Since my hair is so ungodly thick, it tends to get weighed down pretty easily, despite the fact that I have layers. While I love mousse, one thing I don't like about many mousse products is that they leave a crunchy feel in my hair and are also loaded with alcohol. Alcohol is commonly used in hair-care products, but it can be quite drying to the hair with regular use. I was thrilled and excited to see that It's A 10 Miracle Styling Mousse is alcohol-free! It's not often you find an alcohol-free mousse. I know this from experience. So I tried the Miracle Styling Mousse fresh out of the shower. I towel dried and combed my hair, and I went to work. I love the light scent of the mousse and how easily it spreads through the hair. I did my normal scrunching routine and actually used my blow-dryer to speed up the drying process. I was amazed to see that not only did my hair have bouncy, full waves and a ton of volume, it was also shiny, soft, and not the least bit crunchy feeling. As a matter of fact, you would never know there was product in my hair by the way it looked or felt. Now THAT is the measure of a perfect hair product! ![]() Miracle Finishing Spray: First, let me say this: Hair spray, in the past, has not been my friend. Most hairsprays make me choke as I apply it, and leave the hair hard. I guess that's where the term "helmet head" came into play. As a kid, I used a huge amount of hairspray to achieve the "high hair" bangs that were so popular in the late 80's and early 90's. (Did I just give away my age? Oops!) One time, I recall using a lot of spray to get my bangs up where I wanted them, and I literally got ill from inhaling the fumes. I threw up. Needless to say, I stayed away from hairsprays after that. Luckily, the big bangs look was a fad that was relatively short-lived. Nonetheless, I decided to be brave and try the It's A 10 Miracle Finishing Spray. I washed and conditioned my hair as usual, and then grabbed my round brush, the Miracle Finishing Spray, and my blow-dryer and went to work. I must say, I was not just pleasantly surprised by this product, I was downright shocked! My hair remained soft, flexible, and brushable after using this spray. No nasty hairspray flakes! Not only that, this product adds shine, body, and dries lightning fast. It is also completely color-safe and doesn't leave the hair hard or sticky feeling at all. I have never used a hairspray that has been this freaking amazing. I love, love, LOVE it! I guess not all hairsprays are created equal, after all! Overall, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the It's A 10 line of products. These are definitely all they claim to be and more! My hair feels and looks absolutely wonderful since I started using these products. I have definitely found my new favorite hair care line. I can't wait to check out more of their products, such as their Miracle Daily Conditioner, Miracle Hair Mask, and Miracle Shine Spray! These products definitely are just that: Miraculous!
