Here in Virginia, I live in a town that is a charming mix between city and rural life. I live within 10 minutes of both major shopping and horse farms! While technically, this is "suburbia", there is something extra special about the atmosphere in my town because it still has good old fashioned, country values. The people are friendlier, the local flavor more pronounced, and we have some of the best farmer's markets around! And this is all while remaining a stone's throw away from bustling Washington, DC. I think it's safe to say, we love this place!

Not only is my town a great place to raise a family, we have a style all our own here. When you're out and about in my area, you'll see a charming mix of high fashion and western wear. It's not odd to see cowboy (or girl) boots with some killer skinny jeans, and you'll even see a cowboy hat or two! I know many people who equate western style clothing with farms and rodeos, but this unique style is actually quite fashionable, with choices that you'd find on and off the ranch. You might even find them on Rodeo Drive!

That's why I was so excited when I discovered Langston's Western Wear. Now I am no "cowgirl" and I don't live on a farm. I am your typical, suburban mom. I drive a Mercedes instead of a pick-up truck, and I am terrified of horses. While I love the fact that there are many local farms, you'll never find me working on one. But the great thing about Langston's? Their gorgeous selection of clothing, boots, and more is tough enough for the farm but cute enough for everyday wear, whether you're a cowboy or not!

Aren't these pieces simply gorgeous?! I love the fact that Langston's offers more traditional western clothing as well as more feminine pieces. I also love that many of the clothing they carry is girly, but with an edge. I love the Rock N' Roll inspired styling of many of their pieces. You can be sweet and sassy while wearing these clothes, and you'll definitely be sure to turn heads, as these styles are anything but ordinary. They carry mens' and children's apparel, too!

I was thrilled to receive a pair of Cowgirl Tuff Hippie Jeans for my review. They arrived with lightning speed, and I was immediately in love with these jeans. These are made of 98% cotton and 2% spandex for a comfortable, easy fit that you can actually move in, and they are a flattering boot cut. The thing I love the most? The worn-in look! The Hippie Jean by Cowgirl Tuff features whiskering and strategic fading that gives them a fashionable, fun appearance. You know what I mean...The look you get from that favorite pair of jeans that has been well-loved for years. Well, these jeans look that way brand new. LOVE it!

Another thing I noticed about my Cowgirl Tuff Hippie Jeans is their durability. These are not flimsy jeans at all! They are incredibly well constructed and have some gorgeous details in the stitching, making them super feminine. I also love the fact that these jeans are super comfortable to wear. They don't have that rough, starchy feel that a lot of jeans tend to have. These are higher end jeans, and they get softer and softer with every wash without losing their shape or fading. I have worn them several times now, and have gotten many compliments on them!

I will say, it has been my experience that higher end jeans tend to run small. This is NOT the case with Cowgirl Tuff. These jeans are very true to size, so don't second guess yourself. I ordered a size thinking they would fit based on my past denim buying experiences, and they are a bit roomy. I probably could have ordered 2 sizes smaller for a more snug fit. However, they still look and feel great, and they don't fall off. They're just more relaxed of a fit than I was expecting. This was MY error, though, and says nothing about the quality of these jeans. Just know that when ordering, don't err on the side of caution and order up a size. These jeans are absolutely true to size. Also keep in mind that these come in a 33" inseam. Being short, I have to wear heels with them. This can easily be remedied by a simple hem job, though. So taller gals, these jeans will fit you perfectly! (And I know it can be a challenge to find jeans when you're taller!)
