![]() With concerns about pesticides, GMO's, preservatives, and artificial colors and flavors, parents have become increasingly aware of the importance of choosing fresh, organically grown foods for their children. I personally choose organic foods whenever possible, not only for my toddlers, but for the rest of my family, too. (Including my pets!) I know many of you are very excited that The Original Baby Bullet is a part of my G is for Green event. I'm pretty excited, too! I have already received tons of enthusiastic e-mails and comments telling me how amazing this system looks. Now I would love to tell you, in more detail, how this system can help you make pure, organic baby food in mere seconds. This not only saves you time and a ton of money, it also means you are in complete control over what is going into your child's body. The Baby Bullet is also an eco-friendly option, since it reduces waste by offering reusable storage containers for the food you make. I received The Original Baby Bullet to try in my home. I have made baby foods before, but it has always been a messy and inconvenient process. I was using a plain old food processor to puree foods that I previously boiled or steamed. While this method worked, it was not the quickest or most convenient method. So when my Baby Bullet arrived, I eagerly read the instructions, which are easy to understand, and went to work! The Original Baby Bullet comes with everything you need to make baby food. Here's what you get: Take a look at this brief video showing just how easy making your own homemade, organic baby food can be: I have made several types of baby foods using The Original Baby Bullet. This system truly does grow with your child. I have made thinner purees, like apple-mango sauce, and chunkier foods as well, more suitable for older babies and toddlers. I really like the fact that you can control the consistency of the food by using the pulse feature. My toddlers are a bit beyond the puree stage, so I appreciate the fact I can make heartier foods for them as well. You can even switch the blades out to make your own cereals! Yep, they really have thought of everything!
I also love the Date-Dial lids on the storage cups. This allows me to see, at a glace, just how fresh my baby food is. I never have to question how long the baby food has been in the refridgerator. I also love the silicone batch trays. These flexible "easy pop" cups allow you to freeze large batches of baby food once you've prepared it. Once you're ready to feed, you simply pop the desired portion out of the batch tray, allow it to thaw, and voila! Perfectly fresh baby food! If that wasn't enough to make you want a Baby Bullet of your own, it also comes with a pocket nutritionist that takes the guesswork out of making baby food at home. This handy guide teaches you how to choose the freshest produce, as well as which fruits and veggies provide the best nutrients. There is even a cookbook included to get you started! Overall, I am loving the Baby Bullet. It's super fun to use, makes food in a snap, saving me valuable time, and it's also very easy to clean. All of the components are BPA-Free and dishwasher safe, so I spent less time cleaning my system and more time spending quality time with my babies. It doesn't get much better than that! I love that it's BPA free. I'm also glad there is a device for mom's to use to make homemade babyfood a bit easier. More people should make their own!
