![]() I am so excited about my next sponsor, Jack Be Natural. For one, how cute is their name? A friend has a little one named Jack, and it makes me think of him! But clever name aside, what really has me over the moon for Jack Be Natural is the variety. This online boutique is literally a one stop shop for all of your natural parenting needs. They carry a staggering selection of cloth diapers and accessories, teething necklaces, feeding supplies, toys, and even special items for Mom. And that's just the tip of the iceberg! At Jack Be Natural, there are so many great finds that make living a greener lifestyle not only easy, but fun as well. Another thing I love about Jack Be Natural is that "Jack ships quick,Jack ships free." Yep, I said FREE. At Jack Be Natural, part of their commitment to customer satisfaction is saving the customer money in any way possible. Free shipping is one of these perks! For the lower 48 states, that is. Folks in Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada will have to pay a very nominal shipping fee. Still, this is only a portion of what you'd expect to pay for shipping to these destinations. Today, I will be focusing on the cloth diapers available at Jack Be Natural. In addition to popular brands like BumGenius and FuzziBunz, Jack Be Natural also carries several of the brands I have yet to try. (And believe me, I have tried TONS of diapers!) Among these brands are Applecheeks, Rumparooz, and diapeze. There is a gigantic selection of cloth in all styles and types. Want a OS Pocket Diaper? Or maybe an AIO? Perhpaps you like prefolds or even AI2's? Well, Jack Be Natural has you covered, no matter what you fancy! I received an Oh Katy One Size Pocket Diaper for my review. I was especially excited to try this brand because while I have entered about a zillion giveaways for one over the past couple of years, I have never won one. I always make sure to try a diaper before I commit to buying it, so the Oh Katy has eluded me until now. I chose the brand new Violet color. Purple is my favorite color, and I consider it to be gender neutral if it's not a very light, pastel shade. Here are some of the features found in an Oh Katy diaper: -Patented front-opening pocket design -Infant side snaps to prevent wing-droop -Wrap and snap feature for clean storage -Ultra-soft microfiber fleece to keep baby feeling dry -Multiple inserts included -Wide variety of sizing options -Fits babies 8-35lbs -Incredibly trim fitting Take a look at this beauty of a diaper. Yes, I am in love with the rich, vibrant Violet shade! In addition to being oh-so-pretty and having a ton of sizing options, the Oh Katy OS Pocket Diaper also comes with 2 sized, microfiber inserts. These are very soft, plush, and super-absorbent. But wait...There's something special about these seemingly ordinary inserts! The full-sized insert is fully adjustable to match your selected rise settings and is designed to grow with your child, as needed. You simply snap it down to change the length. How cool is that?! The Oh Katy also features a front-stuffing pocket. Why does this matter? Well, for one, it keeps poop off of your hands and the insert while changing messy diapers. It also makes stuffing the diaper so easy! I love the fact that the pocket opening is also very generously sized, making it a good option for clumsy dads to use. But the thing I really love, love, LOVE about the Oh Katy upon initial inspection is the wrap and snap feature. This allows a dirty, dangerous diaper to be wrapped up into a compact and very secure little ball. There is no risk of its contents leaking out or the diaper coming unrolled in the wet bag or diaper pail. It just snaps shut, sealing all the baby goo in. Why didn't someone think of this sooner?! Heck, why didn't I think of this myself? So awesome features and a nice exterior aside, I know what you're all wondering now. Does it work? I tested the Oh Katy OS Pocket Diaper on both of my toddlers during the day as well as overnight. Here are my results. ![]() TEST BABY 1: Xander, Age 1 20.5lbs I tested the Oh Katy first during the daytime. Xander is just over 20lbs but has a very skinny little waist. I sometimes have trouble getting a very good fit on some diapers. They always seem to leave a gap between his waist and the diaper. This is bad, bad, bad...One time, Xander was wearing a gapped diaper and ended up peeing out of it, all over his torso. Yuck! With the Oh Katy, I was able to get a great fit on my slender baby. No gapping, no bunching, and everything was snug in the proper places. The diaper is actually incredibly trim for a pocket diaper, and I was even able to put his pants over top of the Oh Katy without suffering from Peek-A-Butt syndrome. After getting his fit right, I gave him a sippy cup full of milk and let him chase his sister around, play with his toys, and try to outsmart the baby gate. After about an hour and a half, I checked to see if he needed changing. His clothing was completely dry, as was the outside of the diaper. Then I smelled it...And I knew there was some serious business hiding out inside. Luckily, the Oh Katy contained this explosion. No creeping out the back or down his thighs. Everything was contained nicely inside of the diaper. You'd better believe I was grateful for the front pocket opening! I quickly got the diaper off of him, sprayed it down, and wrapped it and snapped it away. (LOVE the Wrap and Snap!) I also tested this diaper overnight. I experienced wonderful results here as well. For Xander, I opted to use 1 insert, snapped down to fit the mid-rise setting. This also gave extra thickness towards the front of the diaper where he needs it! After about 10.5 hours of rest, Xander woke up. Again, no leaks, no red marks, no damp pajamas or sheets. This is definitely a keeper in my opinion! ![]() TEST BABY 2: Sophie, Age 2 29lbs Sophie. Oh, Sophie. Now she is an entirely different child altogether. My Sophie may look cute and innocent, but she's a whirlwind of terror. She never, ever sits still. She tries to scale furniture, makes death-defying leaps from tall objects (when we place pillows on the floor and are supervising, of course) and she is constantly running around. I tested the Oh Katy during the day first. Sophie is a heavy wetter, so I opted to use 2 microfiber inserts. Again, the fit was downright perfection, and the fit was surprisingly trim, even with 2 inserts. Sophie seemed to love the purple color, too. After getting her fit, I let her terrorize my oldest child and destroy my family room for about 2 hours. After she tired of emptying her toybox all over the floor, she began tugging at her diaper. We're in the beginning stages of potty-training, and she has gotten pretty good at letting me know when she either needs to go or needs a fresh diaper. Of course she had wet herself, but the diaper remained dry to the touch. (Even though it had to weigh a good 5lbs...Like I said, heavy wetter!) I also tested overnight. I chose to use 2 inserts for night time use. With Sophie, this is always a necessity. Sophie slept for about 11 hours and woke up telling me she needed a diaper. The Oh Katy remained dry on the outside, but oh my goodness, was it saturated on the inside. The flood-gates must have opened that night! Sophie lived up to my predictions and wet very heavily, but the Oh Katy contained this mess like a champ! Overall, I love Oh Katy. This diaper is loaded with amazing features, is easy to use, and comes in a wide variety of beautiful colors. I wish Oh Katy would introduce prints, too! The diaper held up well on both of my kids during the day as well as overnight, and it is one of the trimmest fitting pocket diapers I have come across.
