I have to be completely honest here, but I really don't care for Pumpkin in general....So while everyone else munches on Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Muffins, Pumpkin Rolls, all while sipping on Pumpkin Spice Lattes, I am left searching for other, more palatable seasonal snacks. I have always loved trail mixes. The mixture of salty nuts, sweet fruits, and savory spices has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. Let's face it, though: Not all trail mixes are created equal. Some are bland, boring, and leave a lot to be desired. I prefer my snack mixes a little more....Inspired. Thankfully, the folks at Sahale Snacks agree! They have created an amazing line of snack mixes that are not only made from the highest quality ingredients, they also come in flavors that are globally-inspired. Balsamic Almonds? Thai Cashews? Maple Pecans? Delish! About Sahale Snacks: It all started with a climb up Mount Rainier in Washington State in August 2003. We had some beautiful views but nothing delicious to eat. The trail mix and stale nuts we brought on our trip helped to replenish lost energy, but did nothing to satisfy our desire for something great tasting, nutritious and as adventurous as our travels. That experience inspired us to create Sahale Snacks. With backgrounds in media and technology, we had no formal experience in the food industry, but we shared a love for good food. We went back to our kitchens the very next day and created unique combinations of premium nuts, dried fruits, and exotic spices, each reflecting a beautiful location, culture or culinary tradition somewhere in the world. We use whole ingredients in their natural form — such as cashews, almonds, pecans, and pistachios — and combine them with naturally dried and preservative-free (unsulphured) fruits, then add fabulous ingredients like honey, lemongrass, balsamic vinegar, or pure ground Madagascar vanilla beans. They are delicious snacks that goBeyond OrdinaryTM. We received a fantastic assortment of snack mixes from the awesome folks at Sahale Snacks. Included were some fabulous new flavors to help celebrate the fall season: · Maple Pecans Glazed Mix · Pomegranate Flavored Pistachios Glazed Mix · Balsamic Almonds Glazed Mix All of these mixes have phenomenal, rich flavor, some of which are absolutely unexpected. I love the Balsamic Almonds especially. These are sweet and savory in such a unique way, and they just SCREAM autumn. I also really love the Maple Pecans and the Pomegranate Pistachios. While these 3 fall offerings are wonderful, Sahale Snacks has more flavors that are completely and totally drool-worthy. My kids particularly enjoy the Raspberry Crumble. This mix includes raspberries, cashews, peanuts, banana chips, and cranberries. Doesn't that sound delicious?! We also really loved the Berry Macaroon Almond Mix. This includes lemon-infused apples, blueberries, cashews, toasted coconut, and almonds. This mix is spectacular! They all are, to be honest. This season, ditch the pumpkin spice and shake up your snacking habit with festive, autumn-inspired flavor combinations from Sahale Snacks. I'll bet you can’t help but fall in love with these tantalizing fruit and nut blends, which make the ultimate companion for an afternoon spent apple picking, tailgating before the big game, or hosting the perfect holiday party! They certainly make for the perfect snack as we hit the road to enjoy the fall season here in NE Ohio!
