***Disclosure: I participated in this sponsored campaign on behalf of One2One Network. All opinions stated are my own.*** As the mom of 2 small children, safety is always on my mind. In fact, I probably worry about safety a bit TOO much, almost to the point of paranoia! For example, in less than a week, we have a family reunion being held on the shores of beautiful Lake Erie. My biggest, most lingering thought? That my little ones will try and run into the lake, and will end up drowning. Thankfully, I know this won't happen since there will be hundreds of adults present, and I am just letting my fears get the best of me. Another area where I am a bit safety-obsessed is choosing the right car seats. Any time a child is in a moving vehicle, there's a certain amount of risk involved. I have never been in an accident, and haven't even gotten a speeding ticket or other moving violation. Even if you're the safest driver in the world like me, it's a good idea to make sure that your children's car seats are loaded with the best safety features, just in case an accident happens. After all, you can't control the actions of other motorists, and it's always a good idea to be prepared. A distracted driver is a risk on the road, and nothing can be more distracting to a mom driving than a crying baby or toddler. According to a study conducted by American Baby and Safe Kids Worldwide, new moms are 300% more likely to get into an accident than other drivers, in part due to tending to an upset baby. I know I probably sound like a total Helicopter Mom, but that's okay. When it comes to my babies, which just happen to be the most precious cargo in the world, there's no such thing as being too safe. That's why I was thrilled to have the opportunity to check out the Evenflo ProComfort Symphony™ DLX All-in-One car seat. The Evenflo ProComfort Symphony™ DLX accommodates children from 5-110lbs, so it just might be the only car seat you'll ever need! It's also loaded with features that provide both ultimate comfort for your child, as well as safety features that give parents peace of mind. Here are some of the key features of this car seat:
One of the features I love the most is the Gel Matrix™ Technology. This engineered material dials up the level of comfort, keeping your child content so you can focus on the road. This engineered material reduces pressure point build-up, enhancing your child’s comfort so they maintain a proper seating position. This helps to ensure a safer, more peaceful ride for both mom and child and help prevent an accident from ever happening. I also love the fact that there's a 5 point harness for safety. In addition to providing visual instructions that ensure proper placement, this car seat also offers Buckle Pockets that neatly and smartly tuck the buckle tongues away—making it easier and safer to get a child in and out of the seat. No more digging around for lost buckles or hot buckle tongues during warm weather that can burn your child. (That's NEVER fun. Have you ever felt how incredibly hot buckles get in a vehicle that's been sitting in the sun? Ouch!) Have you ever spent what seemed to be an eternity trying to properly install your car seats? I have! Now admittedly, I am absolutely terrible at assembling or installing pretty much anything. Diagrams and instruction manuals really confuse me, so easy installation is a must. Luckily, the folks at Evenflo offer SureLATCH® Technology. This makes for the easiest installation ever! Simply click the LATCH into your vehicle, push down, and you will be able to see and hear the seat automatically tighten. Truly, it doesn't get much easier than that! My little ones are 3 and 4 years old, so obviously, they're much larger than a typical infant. However, I do have a Yoda doll that is just about the same size as a small baby. Check him out, all buckled in to the Evenflo ProComfort Symphony™ DLX. We left the head pillow in place, but this can also be removed very easily. Now it's time to see this seat in action with a real child. (Sorry, Yoda. You may be a Jedi Master, but you just don't cut it in the real world!) Xander, my 3 year old, couldn't wait to try out his new car seat. It only took seconds to install in my Mercedes, and then we were ready to roll! We decided to take a trip to get some ice cream, which made the kids incredibly happy. Thanks to the easy adjustment system on this car seat, we had Xander buckled in and ready to go in no time. I love the fact that the buckles can be hidden away in the Buckle Pockets. This allowed us to get him in his seat without burning him or our fingers! I also really appreciate the visual safety guides on the buckles and straps. You have no idea how many times I have had to tell my husband that the buckle needs to be at armpit level. On this car seat, these very instructions are printed on the harness buckle itself. There will be no excuses for forgetting now, and I will feel much safer knowing my little man is in his seat properly. We have had a wonderful time testing out this car seat, and Xander really seems to like it. He said his seat feels like it's "covered in pillows", which apparently means it's quite comfortable. And as all you parents know, a comfortable child means a more peaceful trip! The only thing I wish were different? Well, I do wish it was a wee bit narrower. I have to fit 3 kids in my backseat, and poor Kyle feels a bit squished in the middle, since he gets sandwiched in between 2 car seats. Overall, I am definitely very impressed with the Evenflo ProComfort Symphony™ DLX. This car seat truly offers everything a parent needs in a car seat. It's got amazing safety features, offers a very comfortable ride for little ones, and it grows with your child! So if you're an expecting parent, a new parent, or the parent of a toddler, definitely be sure to check out this amazing car seat from Evenflo. I think you'll be as delighted as we are! My 2 1/2 year old has been in the original Symphony for 2 years now and I still love it! She was actually still rear facing until a couple months ago and it was perfectly comfortable for her. This seat will definetly be my top pick when it is time to mvee past an infant seat for our little boy due in Dec. Thanks for this great review!
