For all the projects I’ve undergone on Long Island Homes, there’s a few that stand out specifically because the client had a consumer product that had me intrigued. And in most cases, it’s a green product.

On my last day of what seemed like a never-ending project, I glanced over to see the homeowner wiping down their windows. Seeing as it was springtime, this was only appropriate! As I leaned over to inquire, I could clearly see the name of the product printed diagonally along the cloth - Gleen.

Getting rid of dust and grime from around the home does not require the use of chemical cleaners that are expensive and harm the planet. There is a greener option that not only saves time when cleaning, but it can reduce the costs of cleaning materials while avoiding the use of potentially environmentally harmful substances.

The microfiber green cloth, known as Gleen, is a revolutionary product that lets the homeowner clean glass or dust without additives. This saves the homeowner the cost of purchasing additional cleaning agents. Choosing Gleen means a reduction in the budget for cleaning supplies for the home. Avoiding chemical window cleaners and dusting agents also helps the homeowner to protect his family from exposure to the chemicals while helping the environment.

Green Advantage

Standard cleaning products may not always be the greenest choice. These use chemicals to enhance their cleaning power, but the warning labels on many of them indicate that these are not very safe for pets or children. Even the green cleaning solutions sold in stores may have cautionary labels regarding their use. All of these products require the use of petrochemicals in the manufacture of their plastic containers. If not recycled, these containers will end up in landfills for years.

Rather than resorting to chemicals the Gleen cloth can be used without cleaning agents. This makes it safe for homes with children, pets, or those with sensitivities to cleaning products. Just a swipe across a dirty pane of glass is all that is needed to clean it. Gleen can also be used as a dusting cloth for other surfaces. With its multiple uses, every homeowner should be able to find a use for a Gleen cloth.

Unlike chemical cleaners, Gleen cloths are reusable. Just toss the cloth into the washing machine and dry it thoroughly before using it again. As a reusable product, Gleen cloths help to reduce waste in landfills, but should the cloth become torn or severely worn, it will biodegrade over time in a landfill.

Gleen cloths are the newest innovation in cleaning. These products help to protect the environment and home from questionable chemicals. Anyone interested in making his home healthier and cleaner while saving money on cleaning supplies should take a look at the Gleen cloth. A visit to their website will provide more information.
