![]() In my opinion, there is nothing better than fresh, organic herbs. I love to cook, and the difference between using fresh and dried herbs is like night and day! Imagine a nice, hearty marinara sauce complete with fresh oregano...Or perhaps a fresh basil pesto for pastas, chicken dishes, or paninis. My mouth is watering already! Recently I discovered an awesome way to bring fresh herbs to your next gathering with Favor Creative. This fantastic company offers a wide variety of eco-friendly party favors, suitable for just about any occasion. Whether it be a bridal shower, graduation party, or even a friendly dinner party with your closest pals, Favor Creative has just the perfect extra-special touch. I received a sampling of their products for my review, including the Junior Basil Herb Favor, A Kids' Herb Favor Cup, and their Spiced Potpourri. I absolutely love these products! The Spiced Potpourri has a wonderful, exotic scent that reminds me of the holidays. With cloves, orange peel, lemon balm, juniper berries, bay leaves, crushed cinnamon sticks, and anise, the scent is warm and inviting. These favors are available in a jar or in a cute little pillow-style box. You can even customize your labels and ribbon colors to your themed event! While I loved the spiced potpourri, I have to say I was even more enamored by the Basil herb favor. This comes in an attractive, 100% recycled favor box, complete with a raffia ribbon for added charm. Inside the box is everything you need to grow your own fresh, organic basil plants! Included is a 2" peat pot, peat pellet, planting instructions and seeds. The peat pellet expands with the addition of warm water, and all you need to do is sow the seeds about 1 1/4 inch into the soil, place it in sunlight, keep moist, and watch your basil grow! This would be a great project for kids who want to try their hand at gardening! It is also a creative, hands-on way to teach kids the benefits of going green! As a matter of fact, their special kids' herbal favors would be the ideal product for such an endeavor! Take a look at these products! My 12 year old did all of the work himself! Overall, I am loving the unique, eco-friendly products that Favor Creative has to offer. These products would make a wonderful addition to any event or get-together, and would also be suitable for play group meetings this summer! I know I love growing my own fresh herbs, and now I can spread my love of growing fresh, organic herbs with everyone I know in a creative way, and at an affordable price. I've grown herbs from seeds and from plants bought at the store. I don't have the best luck, but I try again every year. In fact, I just bought some plants last night! Having fresh herbs is so nice....

I grow my own herbs every year, both medicinal and culinary. I like to dry my own organic herbs for winter use. Nothing like opening a jar of freshly dried basil, thyme, or oregano in January and inhaling deeply.
