***Disclosure: As a World Market Ambassador, I received complimentary product to facilitate my post. No other compensation was provided, and all opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** April is here, which means spring is (hopefully) here to stay. Here in Ohio, Mother Nature has been a bit unpredictable, so I am not counting my chickens before they're hatched. Speaking of eggs, April also means that Easter is coming before you know it! My kids are SO excited about it, too! This year, we will be having Easter brunch at a swanky hotel with my cousins, aunts and uncles, and my 92 year old Papa. After that, we will be sending the kids on an egg hunt and giving them their Easter Baskets. We're really looking forward to it! This year, Easter falls on April 20th, so you've still got plenty of time to plan egg hunts and make baskets. Of course there are plenty of basket options to be found at one of my favorite stores, World Market. You didn't know you could find all the Easter goodies you could possibly need at World Market? Well let me show you the baskets I created for my younger children. They're packed full with goodies that I found there! We shopped at the World Market in Fairlawn/Akron, Ohio. I absolutely love this location because the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and we always find some great treasures there. They even had a huge Easter themed display right in the front of the store, so there was no need to go on a hunt of our own. I ended up choosing a pretty pink basket for Sophie and a cool blue basket for Xander. Each child got the same things as fillers. Otherwise, they would end up fighting, and that's never a good thing. I chose several different chocolate treats, some sour Angry Birds candies, and of course, a couple of huge, pillowy soft marshmallow lollipops. In addition to lots of candy, I wanted to give my kids a few fun, inedible gifts. World Market had a lot of great options there, too. We ended up choosing some fun egg shaped sidewalk chalk, plush bunnies, bunny ear headbands, and some adorable Paint Your Own Bunny kits. (The paint kits didn't fit well into the over-stuffed baskets, so we're going to give them to the kids separately.) Assembling the kids' Easter baskets was simple, and I found everything I needed at World Market. I purchased some Bright Green Excelsior basket filler, gift baskets bags, and of course some pretty pink ribbon to finish the look. Here's Sophie's basket before wrapping it up. Don't you just love the fun, cheery appearance of this basket? It's so much nicer than the premade baskets found at big-box retailers. I tried to make Sophie and Xander's baskets basically identical. That way, no one would get mad or try and steal their siblings' goodies. I did choose different colored bunnies and bunny ears for the kids. Not only will this help them keep track of their own belongings, it will also make them feel special and individual. I know when I was a kid, I never wanted to receive the exact same thing that my brother did. Sure, I wanted the same stuff, but I always got upset if it was exactly the same. Thankfully, World Market has an amazing variety of Easter treats, so this was an easy task! Once I had my baskets filled to the brim with Easter treats, I placed them into these cellophane basket bags and finished them with a cheery pink ribbon. I adore basket bags for a couple of reasons: First, I love the way they look. Adding a basket bag makes for a much nicer, more put together appearance. Also, using these bags keeps curious kittens, puppies, and little hands out of the baskets. Don't they look amazing?! Even though I had to assemble them in rainy weather out on my deck so the kids wouldn't see, these came together quickly and easily. I know my little people will be absolutely thrilled when they receive them this Easter. So if you're looking for fun ways to get creative this Easter, I would definitely recommend checking out what World Market has to offer. They have so many amazing offerings from baskets and fillers, candies, decor items, and even some great Easter baking items! (I saw some really cute bunny shaped cookie cutters while we were there!)
