Well, I think it's safe to say that it's finally spring here in Ohio. I am knocking on wood as I type this, because we've had snow even in April! But now the weather has been consistently gorgeous, flowers are blooming, and the trees are starting to sprout little leaf buds. While I am loving all of the beauty around me, I have to admit, I am actually kind of miserable....You see, with spring comes allergies. And the pollen this year is out of control. So while my family is enjoying being outdoors, I am the party pooper with a runny nose and dry, itchy eyes. My allergies can get so bad that it looks like I've been crying for a month straight! So to combat my seasonal allergy woes, I make sure to have my spring time arsenal handy. This includes allergy medication, tissues, and of course, eye drops to help keep my itchy eyes soothed and lubricated. Itchy, dry eyes that feel like they're on fire and full of sand is no fun! So when I was asked to review the great eye-care products from Optics Lab, I was pretty darn excited. This opportunity couldn't have come at a better time! I received a nice assortment of products, including their Mini Drops, OcuFresh Eye Wash, OcuSave Eye Vitamin and Mineral Supplement, and their Eye-Cept Rewetting Drops. They even came with a cute tote bag that would be perfect for shopping trips! My Opinion of Optics Lab Products : While this isn't a great thing to admit, I got to try these products right away. (Who wants to have dry, itchy, and irritated eyes?!) Like I said, I have horrendous seasonal allergies, and I am used to having to grin and bear it. While other eye products have helped a bit, the soothing was very temporary and I was miserable again very quickly. With the products from Optics Lab, I am pleased to say that the relief I experienced has lasted longer than I am used to. I have been taking the supplements every day since they contain vitamins and minerals that slow or prevent macular degeneration, and have used the Mini Drops, and Eye Wash religiously as soon as I start to experience any discomfort. The OcuFresh Eye Wash is probably my favorite product, since it is used in a cup form. This wash really helps to remove pollen and other foreign particles from the eye while remaining incredibly gentle. I have used eye washes in the past that stung and burned, and I was thrilled to see that this was very gentle and soothing, with no discomfort at all. I also love the Mini Drops. These come in handy little single use tubes, so I always have them available. I keep some in my glove box and in my purse, since you never know when you might need them. Since they are single use doses, I can also share them with others without fear of contamination or germs being shared. These drops really help to add moisture back to dry eyes, and even help to soothe the itching and pain my allergies bring. I have not used the EyeCept Rewetting drops just because I don't wear contact lenses. But these would be great for those who do, since it's a quick and easy way to lubricate contacts if they become too dry or irritating. I would definitely recommend Optics Lab products if you're looking for effective, gentle solutions for eye health and well-being. These are wonderful, and really have been making a positive difference in my life! How to Connect : All Optics Lab products are sold at Walgreens, Rite Aid and on amazon.com You can also check them out on Facebook and on twitter to stay on top of their latest products and promotions!
