***Disclosure: I received complimentary samples to facilitate my post. All opinions are 100% honest and have not been influenced in any way.*** I was born in the 80s, and one of my favorite childhood cartoons had to be Disney's DuckTales. (Woo-oo-ooo) Come on, you know you sang that in your head.....Or you have no idea what that meant, proving that my kids are right and I'm hopelessly old. Anyway, Disney's DuckTales is BACK on Disney XD / Disney Channel, and it's ready for a brand new generation of fans! In fact, there's even a brand new DVD, DuckTales:-Destination: Adventure!, that is coming out TOMORROW! An ancient tomb in Toth-Ra, the mountain peak of Mt. Neverrest, a vacation island for Greek gods…global expeditions await! Thanks to Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby, trillionaire Scrooge McDuck is back in action, leading the way to death-defying exploits stretching all the way from Duckburg to legendary destinations around the world. Let the greatest family adventures begin! OUR THOUGHTS : All is fantastic in Duckburg, even decades later! This DVD contains several episodes of the DuckTales re-boot, as well as 2 old-school episodes from back when I was a kid. (Yes, I personally prefer the older episodes.) The kids are already fans of the new DuckTales series, and were quick to point out that the episodes aren't in the right order. By golly, they were right. These aren't in any particular order. If that matters, I'd wait to purchase a full season set of the show, should one be released. Otherwise, this is a great DVD that is bound to keep your kids happy and giggling on a rainy afternoon. While I am clearly a DuckTales purist, who prefers the old graphics, voices, and has a hard time with change, this updated version is slowly winning me over. I'm not crazy about the change in the characters' appearances, but the stories and adventures are a ton of fun, and there's a lot of humor in these episodes, too. Overall, this is a great summer boredom buster, and would also be quite amusing to the "old people" like me who'd like to take a walk down memory lane. Definitely be sure to pick this up for some duck-tastic fun! Quack! Voice Cast:
